At last Gossip Girl is over and I don't have to hear the phrase XOXO for the rest of my life, so we started Fringe. Much better.

Loving it so far, and I've read that it only gets better. Gotta love Abrams.

Coupling, series 1. Probably the funniest show I'd seen in a long time; non stop laughter.
Archer, season 3.
Better Off Ted, season 1.
Louie, season 1.

Just started watching Mad Men for no reason except that I wanted to check out the electronics, consoles, clothes and furniture(I always see it used in a description for ebay/CL listings). Odd and very dark show......

I loved this show, but like so many U.S shows that I really like, it got all cancelled way too soon! (I'm still smarting over Jericho too! )

Cardinals vs Royals. Because of injuries STL is again starting a rookie pitcher; this time it's the kid they signed last summer out of Texas A&M as a compensatory pick for losing Albert Pujols to free agency.
Imagine...in exactly 365 days this kid has gone from throwing his last pitch for Texas A&M to starting his first game for the St. Louis Cardinals. He went from rookie league to AA last year alone. It boggles the mind.

It really is quite good. Doesn't really have the internet following that, say, Freaks and Geeks or Arrested Development has, but I think it's just as good as either. Really under-appreciated.
Just started on a marathon watching of Coupling, series 2.

"Friday the 13th" (1980)
Y'all have seen it, y'all know the drill - a group of unlucky teens hired to renovate a decrepit summer camp all meet grisly fates one by one on a fateful Friday night. Once this flick hit the drive-ins, American horror films were never the same again.
The original "Friday" is often dismissed as a mere "Halloween" ripoff but I've always liked "F13" better, it's way more violent and mean spirited. The formula is well worn and thoroughly run into the ground now, of course, but by 1980 standards this was pretty shocking stuff.
I've seen this a bunch of times over the years but have been wanting to watch it again ever since I visited the Boy Scout camp where it was filmed a few weeks back.

Watched the Phillies get their asses handed to them by the Red Sox. Jesus, they looked horrible.
