Puppy Bowl IX. Getting ready for the Kitten Halftime Show coming up next!
Hey, it's better than watching 6 hours of Ray Lewis worship.

OK Kitty Halftime Show is over, over to the Superbowl where I hope both teams destroy each other. I hate San Fran but I'm so sick of hearing about Ray Lewis that I've come to hate Baltimore too.
Just give us a decent game guys...

^^^ My kids are watching the Puppy Bowl right now. It's cute... for about ten minutes. Then I'm like "how long does this go on?"
Once they go to bed I don't know what I'll be watching but it won't be the Super Bowl.
Sometimes I think I'm the only heterosexual male in America who doesn't give a rat's ass about football. For everyone else this is like a national holiday, I'm just like "Meh, whatever."

Puppy Bowl used to be more fun when the late, great Harry Kallas (RIP) was calling it. He made it sound like an NFL Films highlight show.

So far that M&Ms commercial is my favorite.
The sound effects on the GoDaddy one were just disgusting...

Guys you appear to be confused about what football actually is, so I thought I'd help you out.
I mean, come on! He's moved to your country to show you!!

Ah yes, the world's cure for insomnia. The most boring sport on the planet. Let us know when a 0-0 final score becomes unacceptable and we MIGHT be interested, But I still doubt it...

It's the official sport of the 3rd world!
I just can't get into soccer (football, futbol) - it just bores me.
And I 100% agree, I can't get into a game that ends in a 0 - 0 tie. It's too low scoring of a game for my tastes...... I prefer the version of soccer on ice, at least they score more and the bonus is you could witness a great fight!

I'm an Arsenal fan and for the last couple of years our defence has been so bad that someone ALWAYS scores!!
Anyway I don't want to derail the thread (also, I'm just not going to win this one) so I'll beat a hasty retreat

I guess we just interpret it differently. When God was mentioned, the character Paul would get all upset and say that there is on God, that he saw the world as it was formed and there was no divine hand guiding it. Basically saying people that believe in God are idiots or woefully misinformed. Paul would get pissed off at people mentioning God. Making fun of overt fundamentalists I can understand as many of my fellow Christians take it too far. Unlike some other believers I'm able to laugh at myself and some of the ridiculous things some Christians do (i.e. I am not that thin skinned), but as I saw it, the movie went beyond just mocking the overzealous ones and I wasn't able to enjoy it after it went that direction.

No offense meant man. I just think Americans are so used to scoring that soccer will never catch on here until they change the rules. Now if they let the players tackle each other, you might have a winner. No wait, that would be just like our football...

Everytime I think about soccer, I'm reminded of the King Of The Hill episode where Bobby is playing in a "progressive" soccer team (no scoring, everybody's a winner , protect their fragile egos crap). Hank is complaining about how soccer is not manly and he didn't want Bobby playing in it. I kept thinking that Hank should talk about how wimpy soccer is to a European or Central/South American and see what happens .

My new favorite SB commercial is the Sketchers one where the guy outruns and hogties a cheetah chasing an impala. Then the guy and the impala high five.

I picked the Ravens because the Rams tied SF with Alex Smith as QB (the game where he was concussed) and then beat them with Kaepernick at QB so I figure San Fran is overrated.

Time to flip over to Animal Planet. I refuse to watch this crap being presented as a halftime show. Bring on the Kitty Halftime!

Yeah, if there is anything I like less than football, it's the crap they usually feature at halftime shows.
