Accept - STALINGRAD release date & info!

Just received my copy from Amazon. I dig the packaging.

Couldn't find this anywhere today. Tried Newbury Comics, Best Buy, and FYE. And people wonder why we shop at Amazon. I'm going to order from them tonight.

Mark is such a great vocalist and fits the band perfectly. I wonder why no one else showed interest in the man when TT Quick was down?

I'm listening to the album now, and so far it's just as good, if not better than BotN.

Agreed. The band hasn't missed a beat without Udo.

Should get my copy tomorrow but I have listened and it's excellent.

Gone through a coupla spins this morning. First impressions? If you liked Blood of the Nations, you should like Stalingrad. No radical changes in style or writing. It's good.

It'll obviously take some repeatd spins and a little time to see how well this holds up, but for now, I'd say it's another winner.

My feelings exactly. I also like that it's a couple of songs shorter than Blood which I felt was a tad bloated.

I'd say the band was thrilled to have a hit with the last album and weren't about to mess with that formula for this one. And I don't have a problem with that.

Just a few songs into it, but sounds good. Not quite BotN, but it's too early to know for sure.

What's your favourite song on Stalingrad? For me it's Shadow Soldiers. This one is really exciting and grabbing and could easily have been on Balls to the Walls. Just love it

I actually like the last half of the album the best. It's backloaded for some reason. Also, the track Stalingrad should have been placed around number 5, it's too long for the #2 slot.

I think Revolution,Flash To Bang Time and The GAlley are standout tracks.

Me likey "Hung, Drawn, and Quartered" and "Hellfire" the best

I'm with you on the last half being the best. Up until then it was almost as good ad BotN but but not quite there. The last half put it over. Much more melodic and memorable than anything off BotN (which was in my top 5 of that year). At this point this is my album of the year so far (Overkill #2).

Dangit, the record store only ordered one and it was gone. I really hate living in a horse and buggy town at times.

The recent Accept albums sound like Metal Church with Ronny Munroe to me.
