| I'm not surprised by anything Sharon or Ozzy do any longer. Re-recording the rhythm section tracks on the first couple Ozzy solo albums just so they didn't have to pay the band members money....that was really the ultimate sin as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, that was pretty bad. I think it went beyond money though, as it also was Sharon and Ozzy's way of shoving some revisionist history at the fans. It was a total slap in the face of Bob Daisley, who was an integral member of the band and was important in Ozzy remaining relevant. Unfortunately history is repeating itself with this mess involving Bill Ward. It's disgusting!

- As much as I love/respect the music, it is very hard to like Ozzy anymore. I understand it's a manager's job to make money...I got no problem with him/her making money...it's just the perceived underhandedness of it all.
Now, I'm not so naive to think that many, many, many managers in show business do things to further their clients and increase the bottom line that may be less than fair to others...nobody said life is fair. But it does get tiresome to see old, rich white people bicker and act stupid over money. It bothers me that she's just as well know, if not moreso than Ozzy these days. Ever since that stupid reality show, she thinks she's the star. There hasn't been such a well-known celebrity manager since Col. Tom Parker. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| Well, you just knew the person filling in was going to be whoever Ozzy's current drummer was. If this is true that Sharon's behind it, it's not surprising in the least. I fully expected her to take over Sabbath. Disappointing but expected. | |

| I have no problem Sharon Osbourne making business decisions in regards to her husband's career, that is her job, but to make artistic decisions regarding re-recordings, and line up changes, that is complete ox manur IMO.
She is not qualified to judge Bill Ward's drumming talents or what is right for Black Sabbath as far as how their music is performed or who plays on the recordings.
Of course if this happened then Tony Iommi had to have given his blessing, as Ozzy as even stated before, Black Sabbath is Iommi's baby.

Is that official? Ick. I don't like him. I'd rather they get that dude from Faith No More that used to drum for Oz. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| Nothing is "official" yet..."officially" the door is still open for Bill to come in pending a contract he agrees with. Everything else is rumor... _________________ FINAL SIGN

Here's the thing. If they didn't have everything sowed up 100% they should NEVER have announced a reunion of the original Sabbath to the world. If they had said "Ozzy, Tony & Geezer recording new Black Sabbath album" it wouldn't have caused THIS much controversy...sure there would be some people complaining...but not nearly this level of a sh1tstorm. BUT...they DID say the ORIGINAL Black Sabbath...so they deserve ALL the hassles we can possibly give them. |

| Same, I'm seriously reconsidering Hellfest this year now. It's not the original lineup, it's not what they announced and it's not what they sold tickets under the pretense of. I just pity the people who have their tickets and flights already... | |

| Well, there is also the possibility that Iommi's health could take a turn for the worse and they wouldn't be able to go forward with the tour. Another reason I wish they'd patch things up with Bill, let's capture these 4 guys playing together again while we can.

| The lawyers dropped the ball
Odd how contracts (between band and promoters) ommitted the stipulation of "all four original members" as announced before concert obligations were made ?
questions....
1)Would promoters of been so enthused to set up a tour under other pretenses ?
2)Would fans have purchased tickets in the furvor that they did under the presumption that it was all 4 original members playing the concerts ?
3)Would it have changed the ammount of money Black Sabbath received from the record company for the recording of the new lp w/out Bill Wards involvment ?
4)Could Sharon have threatened to take Ozzy out of the equation if those who DID have the say so regarding Bill Ward not dismiss him ? (Did that one for fun)

I agree. They jumped the gun on this announcement and now it's blowing up in their faces in the eyes of the fans. All the contracts should have been signed, i's dotted and t's crossed before any formal announcements were made. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | I think it will be a shame if Black Sabbath closes out their career without Bill Ward, I think that Bill Ward maybe should have kept this in house and not have aired the band's dirty laundry in public, I hope they work things out and complete the damn album.
