| That's my first thought as well, but I was trying to refrain from the immediate Sharon bashing that I like to do so much. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | I figured a health issue as well. Not sure what exactly he means by a "signable" contract (especially if money's not the issue) but this has to be Sharon's doing. Well at any rate,I hope he's able to get it done and contribute. | |

Contracts are always about money. He just said he's not trying to get more than a fair amount...sounds like they're trying to pay him like a hired gun and not a full-on member.

| If worse comes to worse, they could simply put in an offspring of either Ozzy, Tony, or Geezer to play ala Van Halen. | |

I would imagine that Tony's already got a call into Vinny......

If that is the case, that is pure bullsh!t, especially when Ozzy sued Iommi for the name, claiming Black Sabbath should be equally owned by all four of them. I do suspect that they will make some sort of arrangement for Bill Ward to stay with Black Sabbath.

| Brilliant.
My favourite band reunites to record their first album together since 1978 and problems plague the band from day one. First, Tony gets cancer and now Bill Ward doesn't want to continue. If they can't sort this crap out, there won't be a new album.

| If they settle their differences and it happens, great. If it doesn't happen, I'm still fine with that as well.
I got to see the original Sabbath in '99 on the first reunion tour, then they did another great record with Dio (yeah, I know, H&H). If that's all there is, I still feel satisfied.

Ha! That would be awesome, but I doubt that will ever happen. Then again, once this Ozzy thing runs it's course, you never know. They would not even have to use the Black Sabbath name either, but just show their mugs on a poster with BORN AGAIN or another song title off that LP. Reminds me, I still have to be the remixed CD.

I would imagine that Tony's already got a call into Vinny...... I'm not sure about that. Vinny was brought in by Dio on all 3 occasions, I have a feeling Tony would look elsewhere. |

| I agree with Bill on this. If he's not given his fair share, he should back out and let the rest of Sabbath face the fans. Bill is a great guy and doesn't deserve to be disrespected by either Tony or Ozzy/Sharon. (I don't think Geezer is involved)
The fans want the whole original lineup!

I don't want anyone to replace Bill... but if it had to be done, I would vote for Jeff Olson from Trouble.

and..............Vnny Appice is a hack (IMHO) I don't know if I'd describe him as a hack but I've never really been a fan of his playing. Somehow he manages to play behind the beat and not be hip? |

| Silliness from a bunch of silly old men. I'm not even pro-reunion but obviously everyone should get an equal share. Sounds like he's being handed some type of employee contract like Ace & Peter took from KISS.
They'll work it out. Too much money is already riding on this. They've already got festivals and an album lined up, they'd be idiots to let (force) Bill walk away.

Yeah, Bill knows this too I am sure. I read a story that the tour/album and merchandise will generate over $100 million... way too much money riding on it to not have Bill involved..... That said, anyone wanna bet how wet Sharon's panties are at the dollar figure?
