| But, in this case, it could work out in Bill's favor in the eyes of the fans. "Yea, screw those guys Bill. They didn't give your the respect you deserve. F**K Sharon in her Botoxed ass with a rusty anchor"*.
If he came out and said "I want half of everything or I'm not doing it", there could be more of a fan backlash. He's not being greedy here, just wants what he thinks he deserves.
*I'm just assuming that's what they'd say. Well, that's what I'd say anyway. I'd probably use the 'c' word too. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| Well that really sucks. And fast too. The Sabbath camp didn't waste any time. I would have loved to see this as a true reunion (missed out on the last one) but at this point I'll take what I can get. I'm sure this is the last chance of ever catching them. | |

- Wow. That was quick and to the point. I guess there will be no pissing battle.
Now let's have fun specualting and over-anaylizing who will take Mr. Ward's place. Vegas bookies are giving Vinny 4 to 1 odds. James B. is at 150 to 1 and everyone's 3rd favorite mail carrier Phoenix Wayne is getting 450 to 1 odds.
Let the games begin!! I'm puttin' a quarter on Phoenix Wayne. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

- This is most likely the LAST Black Sabbath activity ever. He's obviously going to be paid something, they're not asking him to do it for free. It also does not appear that Bill Ward needs the money. So, the way I see it, were I a 63-year old drummer who was part of the band that literally birthed an entire genre of music, I'd just f@kkin' go...do the tour, soak in the love from the fans, and be done.
I think what he was getting at in his letter was that it was the "principle" of the matter, not the money... And if they don't do what is right and give him his fair share, the tour will not make as much as a full reunion anyway. Of coarse most fans will still go, but a lot will also be too pissed to care anymore. Sabbath needs to end it on a good note with the full original lineup.

I just don't see it that way. We're gonna have to agree to dis-agree on this one. We're assuming he doesn't need the money, he's got legions of fans already, his on-going health issues are surely a concern going out on the road for a man his age. He doesn't need the hassle of touring or the excess baggage that goes along with it (traveling, managers, lawyers, wives, etc.). And to do it all for less money than the rest? Why bother? It is a shame that it couldn't be the full reunion everyone wants it to be, but so be it. We'll still get a new Sabbath album out of this and a tour (hopefully). _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. He kept his word.

To go out in the glow of what you helped create, as opposed to letting some other sod get to do it. To pay back the fans. To close the ultimate chapter in your career. He doesn't even have to ride in the same vehicle as the rest of the band if he doesn't want to. I get the principle...I just think his principles are robbing the fans of a final, once in a lifetime experience. _________________ FINAL SIGN

| Yeah, I know. I just have a lot of respect for Michael Anthony, putting EVH aside and doing it for himself and the fans, even taking a smaller cut. He wasn't going to let EVH being a dick rob him or the fans of what was right.
I think Bill could do the same. _________________ FINAL SIGN

| That is completely uncool, we were promised the original Black Sabbath and we should get the original Black Sabbath, these four guys were piss poor lower working class guys that helped create a genre. Sharon was not there, oh yea she was, her dad Don ( Burn in Hell) Arden ripped them off, stole a huge percentage of their publishing, and sparked a number of lawsuits that eventually rewarded the band members.
They will problem get the dude from Faith No More, but they really need Bill Ward back in that chair.

I think Bill could do the same. I think those Van Halen guys were bunch of assholes treating Michael Anthony that way, I sure as hell would not signed a contract to get points taken off in royalty rates etc. Plus that tour was a disaster thanks to Eddie Van Heineken

| $haron is to blame for this mess. I know if she wasn't involved, they would have continued with Bill. I hope they're all happy... That hag has once again meddled where she doesn't belong and ruined it.

| Sucks if Bill doesn't return before it's said and done. I can hope he does. If they hire either Vinny or Ozzy's current drummer than I won't bother with any of it. Some might think that drumming isn't that big of a deal, with Sabbath it was. The importance of this coming up recording to me was that there was a chance to recapture the vibe of the old/original band. I don't wanna hear any paint by numbers performance/playing orchestrated by an outside force that removes the soul and spirit of playing with others you have an emotional and musical attachment with. Not to mention, that atmosphere of "just like it was in the begining" Only without the dope and the booze, but once again it seems that managment will be the only ones not geting ripped off when it comes to the four original members of Black Sabbath. _________________ | |

As much as I'd love, LOVE, to blame Sharon in all this mess, they're all to blame. Even Geezer and Ozzy to some extent. Until more details emerge, they should all be held accountable for this disappointing chain of events. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was.
