Tool (I suggest starting with Lateralus) Al Atkins would be a cool add. Godsmack & Tool will never happen. They irritate me. They play them on the radio here constantly. I don't play the radio much myself, but I can't get away from it at the gym. It's the vocalists, moreso than the music itself. That new Tool song is REALLY irritating, the one about "who are you to wave your finger..." or something like that. Temple of Brutality, I am unfamiliar with. I'll look into them. Danzig, maybe. I've only heard a handful of songs but wasn't blown away by them. I'm sure the radio hits aren't the songs to judge from though. The local station plays that song, "Mother" or something like that, all the time. The Sex Pistols would work. My son has Never Mind the Bullocks. Use to have it on 8-track. Wham! The Cult might work. I like the album "Electric".

| Hey Ult heres some what I would call post-hair metal bands of the early 90's. Love/Hate Saigon Kick Every Mother's Nightmare (Like Dangerous Toys crossed with Skid Row) Spread Eagle And why do you not like Alice In Chains and Soundgarden. You shouldn't be put off by the grunge stigma attached to both. If Alice In Chains weren't from Seattle they would be called a metal band, sure they released some acoustic ep's that gave them some minor hits. But the first two albums particuarly the first facelift from 1990 is pure heavy metal, brilliant King's X style harmonies and Van Halenesque guitar pyrotechnics with a gloomy Black Sabbath atmosphere. They were always more at home with the likes of Pantera and Skid Row than Nirvana and Pearl Jam. And Jerry Cantrell lists Queensryche as one of his biggest influences. | |

| Oh yeah also forgot to add Montrose - Montrose (1973), it is one of the defining heavy metal releases of the 70's. Brilliant it predicts the sound of Van Halen, Riot and most other american hard rock bands. A classic in every sense of the word, Space Station #5 is monster. And a young Sammy Hagar sings his ass off on it. | |

| Maybe some Sammy Hagar and Van Halen with him. I know you don't like the poppy Hagar stuff... but try For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge... and of course... most of Sammy's stuff is good. And wheres the Gary Cherone Halen?!?!? | |

| Every Mother's Nightmare Have one of their CDs in a box of CDs to review.
Sammy Hagar Man, I just never got into Sammy. Not sure why.
Brutal Truth I had one of their CDs, the one with the big ape face on the cover. It was good, but I traded it some years ago.
Montrose Yes, yes! Good one. Been meaning to pick up that first Montrose album for a while now. Great album. Even dig Sammy Hagar on that album.
Crowbar Have a CD coming to me in the mail.
Down Uhhhh, isn't that Phil "I am the new metal god" Anselmo? Pass.
Love/Hate unfamiliar with them.
Saigon Kick familiar with them, but haven't heard much by them.
Spread Eagle never even heard of them.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Keep 'em coming.
Also, feel free to suggest some to kmorg for MetalMetropolis. Personally, I think he needs to add MOTORHEAD _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Spread Eagle are a sleazy street metal band from the east coast, have a s/t from 1990 excellent band. Think a nastier street version of Skid Row. Love/Hate are brilliant, get the first 2 albums. LA band. You may be familiar with their singer Jizzy Pearl. | |

| Maybe some Tenacious D... although I know you don't like vulgar things... they use it quite a bit... but otherwise some funny rock humour. See this is hard, because I usually buy CDs after reading your site. | |

See this is hard, because I usually buy CDs after reading your site. My son has both Tenacious D CDs and the DVD. Funny movie, but the music isn't something I would spend much time listening to.
