| Oh, and that bonus track ''Let's Rock''? It's a bonus for a reason. Because it's filler. They wrote it in 5 minutes. | |

I will never order an album from Itunes! Never have - NEVER will!!!
That actually makes me mad that they are peddling for Itunes.
I'm not gonna see this tour now. I don't care if Ratt is opening...
I'll go see Iron Maiden and Dream Theater instead. They still want you to buy their album via hard copy!!! MB and I don't agree on much but we agree on this one. I will fight Itunes to the very end. I still say downloaded music doesn't sound as good through headphones as the actual ripped CD and I want the physical product with lyrics and liner notes. Using concert tickets as a way of encouraging purchasing of Itunes just pisses me off. Add in the fact that you can't down load from Itunes unless you also download their proprietary software (at least that's my understanding) and I will fight this trend as long as I can. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Yeah, there is politics behind this - and I will BOYCOTT this type of behaviour!!! I would expect this from some boy-band like N*SYNC, but for The Scorpions to do this as their farewell act just does not set well with me. I will even wait to buy the new Scorpions album used, just so they don't get a new release sale from me.

| Well I've heard this once and I will say Klaus Meine's voice has never sounded better and Sting In The Tail is a rather catchy tune and overall not a bad cd. Wargod51 | |

| Sleazeroxx posted the following review: - Quote :
- Klaus Meine and company have announced their retirement after 40 years in the business, with Sting In The Tail to be their final offering. If you're a Scorpions fan you already know that they deliver each and every time, and the fact that such a consistent band is hanging it up is a loss to the rock 'n' roll world.
The Scorpions have always released albums as a reason to hit the road, not the other way around, and they have a number of gems in their back catalog along with a couple of clunkers. If Sting In The Tail is in fact their retirement CD then I want them going out with a strong album. I couldn't help but be a little nervous as their previous CD, Humanity Hour 1, was less than stellar in my opinion, as there was no doubt that outside writers like Marti Fredriksen, James Michael and Desmond Child were a strong influence, and when two of them were also producing -- well, all bets were off for a true Scorpions effort. Which brings us to Sting In The Tail -- it's a slick, bombastic record that sounds like Crazy World meets Face The Heat meets Unbreakable -- it is a strong album right out of the blocks. Returning for this effort are Mikael Nord Andersson and Martin Hansen who co-wrote with the band on Humanity Hour 1 -- once again they co-wrote, and also handled production duties on ths CD. Unlike the last time around, the producers didn't keep the band confined, instead they allowed them to cut loose. The result is a rockin' fun album with riffs-o-plenty. Guitarists Rudolf Schenker and Mathias Jabs tear it up and Klaus Meine has never sounded better than on this effort. The album is launched with the rocker "Raised On Rock" and there are many more great tunes such as "Turn You On", "Sting In The Tail", "Spirit Of Rock", the ballads "The Good Die Young" (featuring former Nightwish singer Tarja Turunen), "Sly" and the closer "The Best Is Yet To Come", which I think matches previous efforts like "Wind Of Change" or "Holiday". Sting In The Tail is a near perfect album and one hell of a way to wind up a career. The Scorpions have been a consistently strong band, both live and in the studio, more so than most classic rock groups still out there right now. When was the last time the Rolling Stones issued an album that blew your mind, and do they kill each and every night? I rest my case. While, I'm saddened to see the Scorpions walking off into the sunset and entering retirement, I know nothing lasts forever except the memories and more importantly the music. In this case the classy German rockers close out their career with their best effort in 20 years.

Most reviews seem to say this album is good but nothing special. I thought Unbreakable and Humanity were great.

| Because they are only allowing the people who pre-order their new album from Itunes (and Itunes only) have front row seats at their concerts!!! Total bullsh!t dude!!! Even though Ratt is opening (and Ratt is one of my all time favorite bands), I will not go to this show!!! Many fans are boycotting this tour!!! This is a shame for Scorpions to go out this way. They have even said this will be their last tour! Now this is how they will be remembered! horrible legacy to leave behind. | |

It's a whole album dude. Not a track. Only those who pre-order the entire new Scorpions album (from Itunes only) will get front row tickets. Because they have right to 'pre-sale' tickets this way. Just like the Iron Maiden tickets were GONE when the pre-order fans got through. Those who pre-order the new Scorpions album (on Itunes ONLY) will get access to all the Pit tickets for the new Scorpions tour!!!

| For me I'll buy the album some of the stuff I've heard I've dug.... The tour will all depend on how flippin' expensive it is.... I missed AC/DC $100 too rich for me right now.... will probably missed Maiden for the same reason.... If the Rush tour hits will that be another $100??? Scorps? could they even think they could command that kinda jack??? we'll see... | |

| I haven't picked heard anything off the new cd. I do know that Best Buy has it on sale for $7.99 this week. If they come through with Ratt I'll try to go. But it will depend on the ticket price. | |

Yes today is the release date. I repeat: I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, cuz this particular Best Buy store kinda sucks in general in terms of CD selection. I know most B.B. stores are cutting back on their CD departments, but out of the couple I've been to in this area, it is the worst one. The music "department" is a piddly couple of racks in a corner of the store. Since I struck out on the Scorps, I took a quick look for the new Overkill as long as I was there... strike out on that one too. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| It's being reported this album is going to sell 18-22k in the first week of its U.S. release. That looks like it'll be good enough to maybe break the Top 30 on Billboard.
Humanity debuted at #63 in 2007.

| MC66 you are so right. He is missing out. I am amazed at how great this album. I have a hard time accepting that some of these bands are as old as my dad, but yet they rock out better than most could even hope to.
One amazing album and if this doesnt relight the fire in old fans and burn a new torch in new fans....well then they must simply be dead!
