Thanks for that much needed correction.

Too bad they're gonna quit. The samples sound pretty good though.

I did not care for 'Eye II Eye' but based on MC666's comments, I may give it another spin and give it another chance.
I actually liked 'Pure Instinct' not my favorite album by them but not terrible.
It wasn't a terrible album, but it's probably their worst. Very different for them. But then, randomly, you've the song "Mind Like A Tree," which I consider to be one of the best songs they've ever written.
It's too bad they're retiring, but they've had a great run. Can't complain.

I haven't liked much by them in years. When everyone said how "Unbreakable" was a return to form, I decided to pick it up. It was a return to form alright; a return to the same crappy form they've had for the last decade or so, a poppy AOR sounding album.
Klaus still sounds pretty good though and it will be a shame for music to lose his voice.

Klaus may be losing it. I read somewhere he would take cortisone shots when he wasn't feeling in good shape, and i think that crap caught up to him... I don't know.

Scorpions have been confirmed for the M3 festival at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. I'll have to go to that show! I know a few HoM folks went to the M3 show last year with Twister Sister headlining.

I know at some point all the bands that I love (well expect maybe the Rolling Stones) will be calling it a day, but its a shame because the Scorpions where/are a great live act and have a series a classic heavy metal albums that belong in any self respecting head bangers CD collection.

It's sad that one of metal's oldest and longest running bands like the Scorpions are going to stop making music... I guess they just want to enjoy their retirement years.
Cheers to all the great songs that they left us!

I saw them live a few years ago and I thought they looked old and tired. The only one with any energy was the drummer and he's 20 years younger than the other guys.
I'm not the biggest fan, but I do like their older material which we'll have forever. I'm not gonna shed any tears if they ride off into the sunset and enjoy life. More power to 'em. But these days in sports & entertainment, I take the term "retirement" with a grain of salt.

Edguy has just been announced as support during the German leg of the tour. Lucky Germans! Two of my favorites of all time.
BTW -- the rumor is after Scorpions are put to rest, Klaus will be collaborating with Michael Schenker for a new MSG: the Mein Schenker Group.

You can listen to samples of all songs here. Honestly, this sounds really awesome. Klaus hasn't lost his edge.

Yeah I would put it between Crazy World and Face the Heat with a modern touch... Still I doubt, we're going to hear another ''Wind of Change'' or ''Still Loving You''...

Sounds like what we've come to expect from them, but it doesn't touch the classic stuff. "The Good Die Young" sounds awesome, though.

Do we really need four songs with "rock" in the title?
All of these songs sound decent but what's really grabbing me is: "Slave Me", "The Good Die Young", "No Limit", "SLY" (sweet little youngin?), "The Best Is Yet To Come"

As North American dates begin emerging for the Scorpions, the band is making an offer you can’t refuse – preorder the album online and get in early on the ticket presale. Okay, maybe it’s not as simple as that. You need to preorder the band’s latest and final album – "Sting In The Tail" – through iTunes. Once that’s accomplished you’ll receive a unique code to exclusively pre-purchase tickets to the U.S. dates through Ticketmaster. Ordering through iTunes will also snag you an exclusive bonus track – “Let’s Rock.” However, you have until March 22nd to preorder. "Sting In The Tail" arrives in stores March 23rd. Regarding the Scorpions “Get Your Sting And Blackout” world tour, the first North American dates are just beginning to surface – Holmdel, N.J., at PNC Bank Arts Center June 18th; Columbia, Md., at Merriweather Post Pavilion June 19th; Wantagh, N.Y., at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater June 22nd and Mexico City at Palacio De Los Deportes Sept. 7th.

That's total bullsh!t!!
I will never order an album from Itunes! Never have - NEVER will!!!
That actually makes me mad that they are peddling for Itunes.
I'm not gonna see this tour now. I don't care if Ratt is opening...
I'll go see Iron Maiden and Dream Theater instead. They still want you to buy their album via hard copy!!!

I think they're trying to reach a younger audience. They know the die hards will buy the disc but how do you get your music out their to the new generation?

The songs on this new album don't really sound like they were played by Rudolf and Matthias. Klaus sounds incredible! I like the ballads, there are a couple of fillers, but honestly this is not the album they should end their careers with. They could do a lot better than this. And what's the whole deal with collaborating with other people?! It's a dumb idea, and I think they just ran out of ideas.

Nope. Luckily, there are several alternatives that could be used before iTunes

Welcome to the music business. It's a label attempt to create hit singles.
