Hahaha, great stuff! The low budget black and white version of The Call of Cthulhu is still my favorite Lovecraft movie though. I really like Re-Animator and From Beyond, but they don't have that authentic Lovecraftian atmosphere, if you know what I mean.

The black and white The Call of Cthulhu movie is a really enjoyable flick, but I agree. But then again, most of his stories aren't exactly movie material. It's hard to get that dark and disturbing atmosphere on the big screen.

At first i did not want to see Avatar but after reading the plot id like to see it but will wait for dvd I think

Haven't seen it yet. Most people aren't exactly positive about it, but I'll give it a shot.

Dagon definitely has a dark and creepy atmosphere. It may reveal it's secrets a little too early for some but IMO, it really has a dark and mysterious atmosphere for most of the movie.

If you are into science fiction - I would highly recommend seeing Avatar in the theater! You won't be sorry! It's the best movie I saw in the theater all year, for sure!!!
