Watching the Rockies @ the Pirates. Jameson Taillon's first start since being diagnosed with testicular cancer. He did rather well,blanking the Rockies through 5 innings. The Pirates are currently winning 4-1 in the bottom of the 6th.

Yeah, I wanna know too because I stupidly bought the Dead Snow sequel on DVD without paying attention to the region code and it turned out I bought a Europe-only copy.

Rockies @ Pirates. Currently tied up 1-1.

Watched the Cardinals take game one of the day/night DH.

Now I'm watching the nightcap. This is essentially Milwaukee's AAA club plus a few MLB regulars vs STL's AAA club plus a few MLB regulars.

We've had heat indices in the 100s all day so both teams are making sure they give their usual lineups lots of rest today.

The Pirates ended up winning 5-2. Their first 4 game win streak of the year. Makes me wonder what would have been if they had Kang and Marte all year.

The NL Central is wide open because every team sucks.

The Cards won the first game of the day/night DH with Milwaukee and they're now only 1.5 games out even though they're still 2 games under .500. They're currently tied 5-5 in the 8th of the second game.

The NL Central is so pathetic that if the Cards win this second game no team will be over .500 in the NL Central.

Consequently, no team in this division is out of it. The bad news is that to make post-season an NL Central team is going to have to win the division because the wild cards will be coming from the NL West.

Watched the Nationals beat the Braves.

Watching the Cardinals blast the Orioles so far. !0-1 in the 7th.

But with the Cardinal bullpen, no lead is safe.

Watching the Cardinals get creamed by Baltimore.

It's currently 11-3 in the 4th and the Orioles have already hit 4 homeruns. The Cardinals hit 5 last night and have 1 today so at least these teams are raising a lot of money for prostate cancer research.

I watched the Pirates' bullpen fall apart again and lose to the Cubs 9-5 last night. They play again later tonight.

Unfortunately I'm all TOO familiar with that scenario. The Cardinals have already been housecleaning the pen (by letting Fatboy Broxton and Socolovich go) but they need to do more of it. If STL had held on to half the games they were leading after 7 innings they'd be in first place in the NL Central.

The Pirates had a 4-3 lead going into the 9th. Of course the bullpen gave up 6 runs to kill the game. Its a recurring theme for them. That has to be at least the 6th time this has happened. Its a shame,really

At least the Cards are making a game of this one. It was 9-1 O's after two innings. Now it's 12-7 after 6.

The Pirates actually held on to a lead and beat Arietta and the Cubs 4-3. McCutchen's really been on a tear lately, homering again.

Good for him. I've always liked McCutchen. Except I was kind of hoping he'd keep sucking so the Pirates would trade him to St. Louis.

Watched the Pirates beat the Brewers last night. Cole pitched 7 solid innings and McCutchen kept chugging along, going 2 for 5 with 3 RBI, including a 2 run homer.

Watched the Pirates beat the Brewers last night , 7-3. Chad Kuhl finally won a game since something like April (shades of Jeff Locke!) and McCutchen again tore it up, going 3 for 3 with 3 RBI, including s solo homer.

Watching the Padres @ Cubs.

SD is beating the Chicago Maddons 3-2 in the bottom of the 9th. C'mon Pods!!!!

Watching the Giants and Braves.

Watched the Pirates lose to the Brewers 4-3 after the bullpen,this time Daniel Hudson, gives up a 2 run homer to sink the Buccos.

I watched the Cards play like a T-ball team in losing to the Phillies 5-1. Not that it would have mattered because Aaron Nola was lights-out today, but STL threw the ball all over the place and misplayed balls constantly.

Watched my Diamondbacks finally get some payback against the dreaded Rockies. They've owned us for a couple years now, and we finally got them two out of three on their home turf.

The battle for the west is going to be a roller coaster. Been fun to watch h so far. Never thought the Diamondbacks had a shot in hell to be in it this year. Crazy gane.

The NL West is easily the best division in the NL this year. Barring some kind of miracle the top 3 teams in that division are going to the post-season.
