That's Broxton warming up in the bullpen last night before his "poppin' fresh" fat ass got released.

Watched the Pens beat the Predators 4-1 to take a 2-0 lead in the Cup finals.

Watched the Cards beat LA 2-0 this afternoon. 

Wainwright won the game on both sides of the ball.  He threw 6 shutout innings and hit a two-run homer as the Cards won 2-0.

Since the end of April, Waino has lowered his ERA by over 3 runs to 3.86 now; he's given up 1 run in his last 26 innings.

Boy, if we get Wainwright back to his old self and Mike Leake keeps pitching as well as he has so far that gives STL four strong starters; Wacha is the only weak link right now.

Today I watched the Cards choke again against the Cubs.

For 6 innings Mike Leake had held the Cubs to 1 run on 3 hits and had a 3-1 lead. Everyone knows Leake is a 6 inning pitcher at best but the Cardinal pen has sucked so bad that Matheny let Leake start the 7th. Even a leadoff single, a walk and a hit batter didn't deter Matheny from lifting Leake for the Cardinals "leaky" pen. So with 2 out, Leake faced Schwarber and gave up a grand slam.

Cards lost 5-3. It's pathetic. STL has 3 lefties in the bullpen but Matheny has so little confidence in them that he leaves a known 6 inning pitcher in the game for the 7th. And of course it backfires.

I also watched Atlanta vs Cincinnati.

Good for former Cardinal Matt Adams; he hit a grand slam and then a solo shot in extra innings to win it.

The guy lost 30 pounds in the off-season and really deserved a chance at starting but STL just had no room for him at first base. But with the injury to Freddie Freeman, Adams is getting a chance to play every day for the Braves and from what I've seen he's making the most of it. Seems like the guy is homering every time I see Braves highlights on MLB Network.

Good for him; if you work that hard to get in shape in the off-season and can show teams you can hit when you're an everyday player then maybe some other team will give him a shot at first when Freeman comes back.

Penguins @ Predators game 3

Pirates @ Mets. The Pirates are currently winning 6-1 in the bottom of the 7th behind some strong pitching by Trevor Williams.

Unfortunately so did I.  That was a brutal series for STL.  We led or were tied late in all three and let all three slip away.  The Cardinals suck right now.

Watching Florida against Oklahoma in the Women's College World Series.

Well I was watching the Cardinals vs the Reds but it was 10-0 Reds after four innings so I switched over to Smackdown.

I watched the Pirates lose to the Orioles in 10 innings after having a 5-3 lead in the 9th. Tony Watson gives up a game tying 2 run homer in the bottom of the 9th,again. No way that guy should be the closer. That's got to be the 4th time he's done that.

Watched the Pirates @ Orioles and once again, the Pirates bullpen wastes a great effort of starting pitching and loses the game in 11 innings, 9-6.

Watched the Pirates no show against the Marlins last night up until the Penguins vs Predators game. The Pirates ended up losing 7-1 while the Penguins whipped the Preds 6-0.

Today I watched the Rockies beat the Cubs

Geez the Cardinals suck!

The Cards finally found a team they can beat.

Last night they beat the Phillies 3-2 to snap the 7 game losing streak and today Carlos Martinez threw the first complete game shutout of his career as STL beat the Phillies again 7-0.

And I see the Rockies beat the Cubs again today 9-1. The NL Central is just pathetic.

I watched Nadal beat Wawrinka in the French Open Final.

I'm watching the Cardinals try like hell to blow yet another lead late.

EDIT: Well they hung on for a 6-5 win.  It was 6-3 entering the 9th though; sure needed the extra run the scored in the bottom of the 8th.

Watched the Dodgers come back and beat the Reds 9 to 7.

Currently watching the Tigers and Red Sox.
