What SPORTS Did You Watch Today? - 2017

Watched the Cardinals offense finally show up for a game as the Cards won 10-4 over the Reds.  Of course, it was 9-1 when St. Louis decided to use Fatboy Broxton in mopup and as usual he gave up a 2 run homer.  I can't believe they gave this whale a new contract because he SUCKS!!!!.  A 9-1 game either winning or losing is the only time it's safe to bring his lardass in a game.

Now I'm watching MMA on FS1

Watching Avs vs Blues.

Watched my D-Backs sweep Cleveland today. So awesome to see them finally play good fundamental baseball for a change. I know it's early, and there is plenty of time for them to start sucking again, but for now I'm enjoying watching baseball again.

I saw part of the Red Wings/Devils game and watched the Joe Louis Arena closing ceremonies.

I was watching the Reds at the Pirates but the Reds are running away with it so I turned it off.

Watching the "great" Cardinal bullpen acquisition Brett Cecil cough up another guy's runs again.  He's done this in 3 straight games; comes in with men on base, give up hits, original pitcher's ERA goes up, THEN he gets the side out.

One of my biggest pet peeves of relievers; inherited runs allowed.

Watched the Dodgers lose to the Cubs 3-2 last night.

Reds at the Pirates. The game just got underway because of an hour and a half rain delay.

The Pirates crawled back to tie the game at 2 but then the bullpen coughed up 4 runs and they ended up losing 6-2. Lame

Cards are winning so far today.  Amazingly, Mike Leake has been outstanding in both his starts this year so far.  Today he went 7 allowing no runs on 4 hits while fanning 7.  At one point he retired 19 Nats in a row.  And we faced Max Scherzer today too.  Cards are up 3-1 in the top of the 9th which means it's time for the pen to cough it up in the bottom half.

Watched the Penguins beat the Blue Jackets to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

On a side note, the Pirates were blacked out here tonight thankfully. It's still early but my god, it seems the bumbling Pirates of old are back. Horrible pitching and no offense. Cheap ownership will do that.

Aside from that late Jackets goal the Pens looked to be in fine form.

I forgot they played a day game today. I can't watch it since I'm at work so I'll keep an eye on it online. They need to pull this one out. They've been playing poorly so far this season.

So have my Cardinals.  And we are at the Yankees tonight.

So far so good for the Bucs.

It's nice to see our old pal David Freese playing.  He'll never pay for another meal in this city as long as he lives.

Made it home just in time to catch the bottom of the 8th and onward. Nice to get the win.
