Eagle Eye - not bad.....it was entertaining if unrealistic.
I just watched it and yeah, it is pretty far fetched but I thought it was a good intense action/thriller.
Apparently reviewers didn't like this movie. Big suprise there . A bunch of snobby intelectuals who look for things to criticize and don't watch movies like normal people. Any wonder some of the most critically acclaimed movies are utter crap (all art, no entertainment).

Zack And Miri Make A Porno - watched this on DVD last night (I saw it in the theater) and I think I enjoyed it more this time...laughed myself silly.

Saw "Susperia" again last night. This time with the Italian dubbing, and Norwegian subtitles.
It's weird that this movie is made by Italians, but with some American lead actress, and the story is located to Germany! I wonder if they first dubbed it to Italian for the original market, then they dubbed it back to English again for the rest of the world?

Was the other movie thread getting too big ?
Hellboy II - I liked this one a lot better than the first all because of the fantasy elements.
Superbad - Good, but not as good or as funny as the hype led me to believe
Pineapple Express - Better than I expected, though I was surprised it was more of an action/comedy rather than just comedy

Argento usually shot 2 versions of each scene, one in English, the other in Italian and then re-dubbed everything in post production. There are actually 2 American actresses in the film, the head of the "school" is played by Joan Bennett who was a Hollywood actress in the 40's & 50's.
Most of his films from the 70's had at least one American actor playing a lead role.

That sounds interesting. It's not PG-13 is it?

I've actually thought about this. But in my version you can see the mouths speaking English, but the voices are dubbed to Italian.

One of my friends is a huge fan of all these Giallo flicks, I asked him about Suspiria last night and he reminded me that Argento never recorded any dialogue on set...as he knew in advance it would be released in multiple languages. So all the dialogue was looped post-production.

I went and saw The Uninvited yesterday (the only reason being my insane Elizabeth Banks infatuation)...not a very good movie, but I have to admit the big "twist" in the plot had me completely fooled.
...and Elizabeth Banks looked HOT.

Great flick. Saw that one in the theatres back in the day. I will never forget when the Army seals off all the manhole covers in town in an attempt to "contain" the Blob, and it then bursts out of the street like "ARRRRRGH" ... someone in the audience called out, "Yeah, RIGHT, muthaf**ka, try and contain THAT!" hahaha

Yes Man yesterday at the $2 theater. It was actually a lot better than I anticipated. Also, I can see how DB has fallen in love with Zooey D. She does a very good job in the movie.
