| Well Bmouth just posted the samples of the new Ozzy album. This is HORRIBLE! Ozzy needs a new guitarist soon! This is by far the worst he's ever done in my opinion. http://roadrun.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=70265 | |

| The music doesn't sound half bad but Ozzy's voice sounds really weak.
I'll probably check it out when it comes out but I'm not expecting much. |

| Sounds pretty weak. Why do legends like Ozzy feel the need to try and sound modern? There were a couple interesting samples, but some of that stuff reminded me of Rob Zombie or something. GAK!!! _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

Ozzmosis was Ozzy's last good album IMO. Perry Mason and Just Want You are two of my favorite Ozzy songs. Down To Earth on the other hand only had a few decent tracks and that was it. |

| I have no hope for this. Ever since the Ozzfest was created, like ultmetal said, Ozzy has felt the need to sound updated, and he has failed miserably. |

GAK!!! nothing wrong with trying to sound modern if you can pull it off. you have to have your ear to the ground to know what the current sound is & the chops to pull it off. Ozzy has neither. he is out of touch, not only with the modern metal scene, but with his fanbase, who would prefer he stick to his traditional sound. _________________ | |

I heard these on his site the other day, and I actually felt that these clips showcased some of his best tunes in years. Zakk Wylde's on this one, right? A lot of that music—in fact, most of it—reminded me of Black Label Society. |

| I actually liked what I heard. The samples kinda sounded like Zakke had a hand in the songs. I'm holding out hope that the cd will be as good as the samples lead me to believe. Hey it's different, but what's wrong with that....just need to wait and see. | |

| I don't liek what his vocals sound like in the samples. I honestly don't think the guitar is that terrible. |

| I liked it too. Some of it had that BLS dirge vibe. But some of it had more picked up tempos like his older stuff and I thought the vocal melodies were good. As for "weak" sounding vocals, I didn't hear it...he sounds like Ozzy to me. Modern? It's not like it sounds like Avenged Sevenfold or anything...just cuz its tuned down doesn't make it "modern". This just in: Ozzy Osbourne will never make another album that sounds like 'Blizzard Of Ozz' or 'Diary Of A Madman' ever again. Get over it. |

But i think he should hang it up now Why? If he can still hit a note in the studio, why not continue on? It's not like Ozzy has ever actually written a song in his life! Which is why this made me laugh: You also get the clear sense that he's operating at the peak of powers, as a singer and songwriter.Hahaha. Yeah, songwriter....sure. |

| For me the samples sound a bit like Down to Earth, which I don’t like very much. But I’ll give a closer listen to it when it is out, and then I will decide if it is worth buying. | |

| I don't care for BLS at all either. Which has a lot to do with why I do not like these samples. They do sound like BLS a lot. BLS is not Ozzy. Sure there will never be another Diary or Blizzard album ever. That don't bother me. What bothers me is that Ozzy has lost touch with what his music was. It just continues to go downhill a lot to me. | |

I like it. Good tune. Not too down with guitar tone, though. |

| It sounds exactly like a cross between BLS and Rob Zombie with only a touch of No more Tears type lyrics. | |

| I've said it before: I don't care for anything, album-wise, that Ozzy has done since No More Tears, which was his last truly solid (and "metal") album.
I will concede that he has released the occasional good song, but that hardly merits the purchase of a full CD.
Ozzy should have retired when he said he would, after the "No More Tours" trek. He could easily have recorded the stray single or two (the aforementioned "Perry Mason" or "I Just Want You") as special occasions, soundtrack songs or benefit tracks. It would have significantly preserved his waning integrity as an artist. People forget he used to have such a thing, these days...
