- That chop/chant thing is the same reason I still root against the Atlanta Braves in baseball. I used to HATE the Braves when they won the division title every year while TBS was ramming them down our throats as "America's Team" but those days are long over and I actually kind of like them now. But there's that damn chant and chop thing again which makes me still root against Atlanta.
I had to deal with that damn Braves chant waaaay back when they played my Pirates in NLCS in the early 90s. I was at the game when the Braves eliminated the Bucs (and it was Barry Bonds last game as a Pirate I believe) and it sounded like a Braves home game with that chant.

| After the last few weeks, especially the SF game and this GB game against Seattle specifically, the NFL will have to pay me to watch anymore football games and this distaste is from a Steelers fan, however I do or did like the sport and watched as many games as the limited local broadcast would allow.
This seasons officiating and obvious bias towards Goodell's pet teams is/was a travesty to the 100th year season.
And yes I know the NFL and Goodell could give 1 poop, let alone 2 to the fans or the players of the sport so carry on.
Wonder if there is any curling going on at the moment.

| What did you see in the GB/Seattle game? I had the game on but I was doing other things the whole time so what did I miss? _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I guess you are referring to the Jimmy Graham catch that was ruled a first down at the end and effectively ended the game. Even as a fan of GB I would normally try to be objective. In this case he was rolling over a Seattle player, who effectively kept him from hitting the ground until he was extremely close to the marker.
I can't believe Green Bay has made it to the conference game. It has not been easy to watch this year, but somehow they get it done. I'm just hoping they make a game out of it in SF next week, as opposed to the last time they went out there.

| Of course, I log out of here and the Chiefs do a complete 180 on the Texans. | |

| That game was insane. I was thrilled for the first quarter when I thought we were going to get an unlikely Texans v Titans conference matchup, but turned it off when it was clear that it was going to swing the exact opposite direction. | |

However, I'm very glad I watched! It was history, even if I didn't like who won.

| Watching the pregame show for the college championship.
I don't really care who wins this game but I think I'm slightly pulling for LSU because I like their head coach Ed Orgeron. Gotta love his voice; his speaking voice almost sounds like a death metal growler. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Man, Clemson's defense looks like a brick wall so far tonight. LSU hasn't been able to do squat. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Well this game sure changed around. After looking like crap for most of the first quarter LSU goes to the half up 28-17; they had 269 yds of offense in the second quarter alone! _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

yeah I went to bed early and Clemson was leading. Obviously LSU made some changes and was able to get things done. Congrats to LSU.

| Chiefs looked impressive. Don't care for the Chiefs, but can't be too mad since the fan base has suffered for so long. | |

| Yeah if not for that damn chant I'd have been pulling for the Chiefs but because the fans kept doing it I found myself rooting for the Titans. But I'm OK with the Chiefs going to the SB; I like Mahomes.
Now watching the Green Bay / San Fran game. This is another "I don't really care" game for me although I think an SF/KC SB would probably be more competitive but I think either of these teams is going to lose to KC anyway. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Meh, two relatively non-competitive games today. KC dominated TN after falling behind early and SF is clobbering GB in the nightcap. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Yeah, but I think it's going to be a pretty good Super Bowl, for a change.

| Various random college basketball games.
This is the time of year when I'm in a sports "doldrum". It's too early to gear up for March Madness, MLB spring training hasn't started yet, college football is over and the Super Bowl is between two teams I don't really care about.
I guess I'll tune in to the XFL next weekend and see what that's all about; at least St. Louis has a team in that league (Go Battlehawks?).
