"Cyborg" (1989)
Jean-Claude Van Damme beats the crap out of a bunch of people in this extremely cheap, mostly plotless post apocalypse sci-fi action flick. J.C.V.D. made a few decent movies back in the day, but this wasn't one of them..

"City of the Walking Dead" aka "Nightmare City" (1980)
The legendary Umberto Lenzi's ultra-cheez Spanish/Italian "Dawn of the Dead" wanna- be is still one of the best bad zombie movies ever made. The script/plot is a nonsensical muddle, the performances are wooden, the effects suck, and the English dubbintg is howlingly awkward, but the non-stop action is so batsh*t insane that you can't help but love this flick.
I popped this one on last night to celebrate the news that gore makeup guru Tom Savini is trying to get a "Nightmare City" remake off the ground!

Harmontown (2014)
Enjoyable documentary of writer/producer Dan Harmon's podcast tour that he embarked on after being fired as the show-runner of NBCs Community (the show he created). Harmon is a funny (and flawed) guy that I can definitely empathize with, I enjoy his writing so much it was fun to see the personality behind the wit. The documentary cuts back and forth between performance footage of the tour, interviews with people that have worked with him (Jack Black, Sarah Silverman, the cast of Community, etc) and archival footage. A lot of fun.

I LOVE this one, a fun favorite entry in a tired genre that Italy never could get right. And why is it we've never seen another movie where someone actually pukes up their guts?? That was a pretty original, and effective, idea.
EDIT: oooooops. I got my titles/alt titles switched up, thinking of City of the LIVING Dead. I remember Nightmare City being quite the reckless bloodbath, but enjoy the other much more.

The more common US title of City Of The Living Dead is "The Gates Of Hell" which is the title I remember seeing it released under.

Finished Monty Python Live (mostly): 1 Down, 5 To Go.
Still a classic all these years later! Even the Pythons can't keep a straight face. I love the part about "He's gone to meet Dr. Chapman".
And then it morphs into the Cheese Shop sketch.

"THEM!" (1954)
Nuclear bomb tests in the New Mexico desert spawn a new breed of giant mutant ants -- which then set up shop in the sewers of Los Angeles -- in this '50s sci-fi classic. Lots of fun!

Is it just me, or did this also remind you of Aliens? Some of the scenes of going into the caverns and killing the ants in particular.

It's an excellent series, it really starts to gel right around the finale of season 1. After that point it becomes more of an "arc show" than a "monster of the week" show.

ABCs Of Death - Blu-ray
Man, some of these shorts are excellent (like "D") and some are just stupid and wrong (like "F"). To be expected in a collection of 26 shorts in one film. I've seen this one before but wanted to watch it again before I watch ABCs Of Death 2 which I haven't seen yet.
