COMP SWAP 2014

Just recieved PRD's comps! Haven't even opened the package. I soak them up this weekend and post reviews ASAP.

When is the review section going up?

DB, how about starting a review thread in the Hurting Words section? Then maybe one of the mods can sticky it so it stays at the top for a while.

I just picked up my mail and Runicen's discs came today. Nice job on the artwork! DJ Godzilla!

Haha. It's been years since I actually compiled artwork for mix CDs (used to do that all the time in high school) and I was using a new program for it, so I was pleased as hell with how it turned out.

Got Toho's comps and will be checking them out over the weekend and writing up a review.

I had planned to listen to yours while I was working from home but this is my week to be "resource person" which means I have to deal with all the crap that comes up on the fly and the crap has been flying. So by the end of my day I'm in a really bad mood; not the best time to review new music IMO.  

I may not get to reviewing your comps until next week but rest assured, I will get to it.

No worries and no rush. I'll be taking a pretty leisurely approach to getting my thoughts down too, so I'm definitely not going to be checking my (nonexistent) watch waiting for yours.

Finally got my comps out to Stender--70's heavy proooooog with a couple of Opeth favs.

I've sent mine to Glassprison and I'm just awaiting for the arrival of his.

This is the metal forum but comps can be varied in genre? I would participate but I'm still a little lost.

yea. Its not just a "Metal" forum. We all listen to different styles of music.

I've compiled an album called "The Heart of Visual Kei" which focuses on early underground songs by VK bands who later became well known. Mostly documenting the styles around the 1988-1998 period. It's about 60 tracks. Let me know if any of you are interested.
