Tainted moonshine dumped into a Louisiana river mutates the local gator population into enormous man eaters, whose bites have unusually transformative effects on their victims. Two long feuding redneck families must then put aside their differences to deal with the critters.
Given its totally absurd premise, this schlocky SyFy monster mash was surprisingly much better than it had any right to be!!
Except for the gator part that sounds a LOT like Redneck Zombies.
Never seen 'Redneck Zombies' so I'll take your word for it.

American Horror Story : Coven season finale
I watched it too, man this season went out with a whimper instead of a bang. They needed to take the finale WAY over the top to try and make us forget about all the underdeveloped plot threads throughout the season, but no, they just let it run out of gas and sputter to the finish line. The "everything but the kitchen sink" approach they use can be quite entertaining but this season it feels like they really couldn't figure out what the main focus was supposed to be and the show got less interesting around the halfway point instead of gearing up for the finale. A lost opportunity.
Yeah... it was decent but could have been better. I was expecting Fiona to pull some kind of stunt on Cordelia at the end there, but no....
And I have to say I enjoyed seeing Emma Roberts getting choked out. She certainly had it coming.
I agree with you guys. "Coven" started off well and seemed to be setting up for some really cool stuff but it started sputtering about halfway thru the season.

Short Term 12 (2013)
Wish we had one of those standing on the chair applauding emoticons, I could find good use for it here. Quite simply one of the best films from 2013 and featuring in my opinion the finest performance by an actress the entire year (Brie Larson). This little indie didn't get a wide theatrical release but I cannot possibly recommend it highly enough, it is worth seeking out.

And you call yourself a connoisseur of low-rent movies? You NEED to see Redneck Zombies if only to hear the song in the middle of it ("I'm a blue-d**ked, redneck zombie without you....").

"House on Haunted Hill" (1959) - a mysterious millionaire and his wife invite a diverse group of strangers to spend the night at a mansion that's supposed to be haunted by a horde of murderous ghosts... and offers a $10,000 prize to whoever makes it till morning. Murder and charmingly spooky mayhem ensue in this 50s drive in classic from the great William Castle,
...and OK, fellas, you talked me into it...I'll see if I can get hold of "Redneck Zombies."

I ordered it on DVD last night for about $5. I have it on VHS but that probably won't even play anymore.

Sinister (2012) - a supernatural thriller with Ethan Hawke investigating murders of whole families (except for one child, who ends up missing) that is filmed and left in a box in the attic of the victims home.

"Garfield Gets Real" (2007) - awkward looking CGI toon with the famed cat accidentally stumbling out of the comic pages and into the "real" world, then trying to find his way back "home." The tone is shrill, the animation sucks and its loaded with annoyingly unfunny new characters. My 7 year old thought it was funny but sitting thru this one will be a chore for anyone older than that.

Kitten Bowl on the Hallmark Channel before the Superbowl started.
Now I'm watching Denver get off to about as inauspicious start as possible.

Wow! The Superbowl is now 22-0 late in the second quarter. Time to switch over to either Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet or Kitten Bowl on Hallmark.

And it just got worse... 29-0.
Ya know, I was pulling for Denver in this one because I like Manning and Seattle is in the Rams' division so I was against them but Geez, at least give us a competitive game; this is downright embarrassing.

National Geographic Channel also offered "Fish Bowl" today, which consisted of... a fish. In a bowl. For four hours. Haha!!
As for the actual game...geez, I'm not even a football guy and even I'M embarrassed for Denver at this point.
