I'm gonna have to keep an eye out for that as well. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Nope. Never heard of it. But that doesn't sound good to me. I've gotten sick on tequila too many times. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I never really liked tequila so that doesn't sound too enticing. I'd still give it a try though. | |

| I had a VERY bad tequila experience in 1988 and haven't touched it since. I'll pass. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Funny how that works isn't it?
To this day I can't even stand the smell of any drink with rum in it. I got so sick on the stuff in college that even now all these decades later, just smelling the stuff makes my throat start to constrict; it's an involuntary reflex. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I mentioned how the hard root beer was gone from Specs when I decided to grab it. With the reviews at BA I found out it was an inferior one anyways. They mentioned the best was Not Your Father's Root Beer. Never saw a hard root beer again, but guess what I found in a big display the moment I walked into Wal Mart yesterday: Now this is the low alcohol one (there are three: 5, 10, & 19% ABV) but beggars can't be choosers. Had my first one and it was awesome, very much a beer well disguised as a root beer with only a slight taste that tells you otherwise (the 10% is supposed to be the closest to root beer). | |

| I just picked up a sixer of that yesterday myself. I got the 5% too (only because that's the only one they had). Good stuff though. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Sure is! Never thought I'd find a beer at Wal Mart I'd actually like let alone this one. The display was a welcome sight after a painful day at work yesterday (I have tendonitis in both my wrists and yesterday they were agonizing). Glad it ended up being as good as it was since I bought two six packs (in case they're gone soon). Definitely a dangerous beverage.

| Yeah, those root beer brews are sneaky, I've had the Row Hard Root Beer (which is actually around 6.6% ABV) and the Not Your Father's and they're both really sweet and smooth and hide the alcohol well. I could easily down 3 or 4 of them without thinking and suddenly find myself unable to stand up. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I can believe that. I had three last night at a family get-together along with: http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/29656/174705/ (no rating) http://lakewoodbrewing.com/legendary/ My mother had to drive me home .

| I'm doing a taste test of Oktoberfest beers. So far I've had:
Schlafly Oktoberfest Left Hand Brewery Oktoberfest Santa Fe Brewing Oktoberfest Samuel Adams Oktoberfest
To this point the Sam Adams version is my favorite although none of these rate very high on BeerAdvocate.
Anyone else got any Oktoberfest recommendations for me to seek out in this experiment?
BTW, I did the same thing with pumpkin ales last month and Schlafly's was the clear winner. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I'm with you on the Schlafly's this year....I hated the Southern Tier Pumking, really bitter tasting this year.

I like V8....Pumking not so much. Yeah I've tried it 4 years in a row now and it's always too "vegetable-ly". The only thing I find Pumking good for is mixing with another so-called pumpkin beer that's too "cinnamon-y" _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.
