| These are the sort of bands that wear alcoholism as a badge of honor. The three most OTT that I've heard recently: American Dog Ironboss Viking Skull entertaining only in very small doses. If there are any more out there like that I think I want to be warned. | |

| Love/Hate.
Maybe not so much beer but general intoxication was their main source of lyrical genius. |

| I don't just mean intoxicated bands (most of them are after all); I mean bands that hardly ever sing about anything but booze. Tankard etc. | |

| I seem to recall that Gang Green wrote a lot about beer. Ugly Kid Joe had more than a few songs dealing with intoxication as well. - Quote :

| Old Humble Pie wrote quite a few paens to lady liquor.......
But the Unband and their songs are literally soaked in the stuff all day every week for the whole of their existance....just check out their song "Drink And Rock"....sounds like Motorhead and the Faces trying to drink each other under the table. Not all their songs are about drinking but all are slurred appropriately and give you that horny n' confident warm and fuzzy feeling after your 7th or 8th beer. | |

I don't remember much about their songs, but I do know they had one of the best album titles of all time. Not long after Van Hagar put out OU812...Gang Green followed it up with I81B4U. |
