My favorite movie for the Holidays. It's a Toho tradition to watch it every year. So many quotable lines. Thie one, Black Christmas, Silent Night Deadly Night, Rare Exports, Saint Nick and the Jeff Dunham Christmas special.
The opening scene (Christmas Dinner with Fran Drescher, James Caan, Chris Kattan and Rebecca Gayheart) was one of the funniest things I've seen in a while.
"And thank you for not making us Samoan..."
I like when Goldberg punts the annoying foofoo dog into the ceiling fan.
And going to Claymation to tell the backstory of Santa was a stroke of genius.
And don't forget Rev. Dave Thomas memorializing the late strippers from the pulpit.

Oh yeah, that was brilliant. I almost snorked beer thru my nose.

You should do a Hub posting about Santa's Slay when we get closer to the holidays. It's a shame more people don't know about the movie.
I did a HubPage last year about Christmas themed horror movies where I mentioned Santa's Slay, but now that I've finally seen the movie I might have to dust that one off and update it a bit.

Only reason I ever watched Santa's Slay was because of Ernest Saves Christmas. Both movies are essential Xmas watching in our home.
What's the connection between Ernest Save Christmas and Santa's Slay?
The name of the movie they're filming in Ernest is "Christmas Slay." Santa thought it was "Christmas Sleigh." So the similar semantics in the titles had me interested.
Cards clinching the NL Central title 7-0 over the Cubs.

Watched that about a month ago. A friend and I are on a mission to watch the whole of the series in order! Starting 'The Romans' on Tuesday.

"Return to Savage Beach" (1998)
Twelfth and final film in Andy Sidaris' immortal "L.E.T.H.A.L. Ladies" softcore action-movie series pits the usual gang of generously endowed female secret agents against a terrorist group searching for buried treasure on a tropical island... or something like that. The girls lose their tops frequently and stuff blows up on a regular basis so I doubt anybody's worrying about following a plot.
Make no mistake: all of the Sidaris films pretty much suck, but no red blooded heterosexual male will be able to look away!!

'Beasts of the Southern Wild' bought on Blu-Ray after seeing it before when it came out. Liked it then, like it even more the second time around. Picked this over 'Upside Down' at the last minute cause I'm torn on whether I want to check out 'Upside Down'. Looking around online at the stuff people say about this movie though makes me want to eliminate humanity.

Cards beating the Cubs 6-2 for their 96th win.
C'mon Phillies, beat Atlanta!
And congrats to the Pirates for beating the Reds again and getting to host the wildcard game.
