Randy's my second favorite guitarist, somewhat similar to Ed with a neoclassical twist. His story is the most tragic of rock music. He had so much more to contribute and was cut short way too young. Anyway...
His solo off of Tribute all the way. Live guitar solos, even Ed's, normally bore me, but Randy had a wicked sense of intensity in building on his own. If I had a second choice it would be I Don't Know for the first time I heard the descending chromatic arpeggiation. It shocked me hard as a kid and I still can't pull it off, as simple of a concept as it is.
Randy is the prince of metal guitar, for sure. RIP.

Why don't you give it at least 1 day before switching to the next guitarist, so everyone has a chance to contribute. Thanks.

His interpretation of 'Children of the Grave' from Tribute, or 'Over the Mountain'.

Not really known for an outstanding solo, but yes, nonetheless my favorite Ozzy song and the best composition of Randy's. The entire album was my first vinyl I acquired when I was 13, and I wore this track out good. Intense.

Is there a way to change the topic titles to Solos instead of Solo's, that's been bothering me for days, sorry, had to get it off my chest.

Comfortably Numb really takes the cake in an obvious manner, especially live, but if I were to pick another, I would say his lines in Dogs.

I'm glad there's no more Pink Floyd because there's no possible way that the Pink Floyd name could go out with a better and more fitting song.

Comfortably Numb is my favourite guitar solo ever, so that's an easy choice for me. After that, either Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 or Sorrow.

So true.
I'd pick Marooned (a bit of cheating). Gilmour's way of playing the guitar has always been a love of a lifetime.
