hearing 60 year old men singing it now in 2014 pushes the needle on the creep-o-meter into the red.
On the other hand, the older Gene gets, the line "I'm ninety-three, you're sixteen" in "Goin' Blind" becomes more and more accurate.
Yea, that one is a little creepy too. Although that song doesn't bother me so much. I just look at it as another way of saying there's a huge age gap, not to be taken so literally. Or maybe it's just a better tune.
'Christeen Sixteen' just sounds so stalker-ish to me. With so many songs at their disposal, why that tune keeps getting resurrected is beyond me.

Imagine a KISS cover/tribute band singing "Sophie Sixteen" and see Gene blow a gasket.

That kind of side-steps into that endless question of rock: is it a young man's game?
As a prog fan, I'm inclined to say "no," because rock ain't just about bedroom funtime (though that never hurt).
I mean, if I can sing a song about some experience I never personally had and nobody questions it because I'm "in character" for that song, is it really so wrong for an older guy to sing as if they were their 20 year-old self?
Granted, in Gene's case, when he's screwed a quarter of the world's population over the course of his life, one does wonder how much that behavior has been left behind...

I bet in Gene's case, being in his 60s AND having already conquered a quarter of the world's female population, he's bored by sex these days. Everything is just a means to make money...so he stays in character for the camera.

Pretty cool! If they release this as a 7" with this artwork, I will definitely buy it.

It looks like the KISS Vegas residency is happening in November. If anything I'm surprised that it took them this long to do it! I'd like to go, but since I'm seeing them next month I don't think I can justify the trip out there.

Ok I never really got into Kiss, could someone recomend sum songs ( aside from the obvious hits ) for me to check out ? I think they are one of the most overrated bands of rock history. their songs are never impressive, except from Ace Frhley I think I can say they´re not reeeeeeealy that good musicians and Gene has already confessed his love for money and wealth coming from Rock music so I have NEVER admired them, but I´d like to try to get into some of their music. I kindda like songs like God of Thunder , Domino , Heaven´s on Fire, but as I stated , they have never really impressed me.

I would recommend any of their albums from the debut up through Love Gun. Not a stinker in the bunch. Creatures of the Night is another great album and my introduction to KISS.

I would personally recommend: Lick It Up, Animalize, Asylum, Crazy Nights, Hot In The Shade and Revenge.

I disagree, it didn't feel rushed to me the way "The Elder" and "Unmasked" did.
