Unorthodox Metal Opinions?

FWIW I think 'Twist' is way, way, way better than 'A Night At The Opera' which I also think is just kind of full of weak songs. It also manages to be BG without a lot of the looming Tolkien or overly medieval stuff (which is an appealing thing to me since they did it to death), you might like it yet Toho etc...or no?

Never Say Die by Black Sabbath is a great record.

This is how I feel about both Reborn and MBP.

I think both albums are more mature and consistently good from beginning to end. All previous Stryper albums may have one or two or three classic tracks that top anything on either of these albums, but as whole albums, Reborn and MBP get the nod.

I'm not sure if this is unorthodox or not, but disco did not suck, it was AWESOME!!

Zak Stevens is my favorite vocalist. I've heard people say they hate him and I've heard people say they like him. However, never really heard anyone say he's their favorite.

Killers is a better album than Iron Maiden.

Fight For The Rock is an enjoyable album.

I enjoy the song Cherry Pie.

I like Whitesnake's pop metal songs more than their bluesy ones.

The Unforgiven is not only a great Metallica song, it's my favorite.

Hey Boris: For me, as a whole, disco sucks royally. However, I like that song too.

I love cheesy ballads like Warrant's "Sometimes She Cries" and "Heaven"

I love Nitro's two albums. Just big over-the-top in every way fun. I also dig Gillette's solo album Proud To Be Loud.

Tad's Inhaler is a hell of a "metal" album.

TYR is one of my favorite Sabbath albums. I really also like Forbidden. I'd be more excited for something new with Tony Martin than I am for new Ozzy stuff.

Slayer's Show No Mercy is not a great album - it's just OK. Slayer didn't come into their own until the Haunting The Chapel EP.

I know the lyrics are a bit juvenile, but the songs are catchy as hell.

Most bands that are labeled as Death Metal aren't really death metal but just a bunch of herber skerber bro metal crap.

Jugulator from Judas Priest is terrible! The one after it is worse!

Pantera has never been good in my opinion and I have disliked them since I heard them.

Dimebag Darrell worship is way too out of hand.

Zakk Wylde is a great guitarist but he ruined Ozzy.

Slayer's greatest song is Crionics.

W.A.S.P. has sucked for 20 years.

Andi Deris sounds like he's wanting to throw up when he sings.

Christian oriented bands for the most part suck though I can still handle some older albums.

I blame Phil Anselmo for all these metalcore singers that emulate him to no end.

The new thrash revival is full of garbage and I'm way sick of it already!

The greatest doom metal album ever is Candlemass - Epicus Doomicus Metallicus

Tribute and cover bands are getting overpopular and this will be one of metal's biggest downfalls!

Record labels are signing a lot of shit bands lately!

Almost all of those are very popular opinions.
