Cameron Crowe based Almost Famous on his own experiences of going out on tour with Led Zeppelin, The Allman Brothers, Lynryd Skynyrd, The Eagles and Poco. Quite the journey it must have been!

"Fahrenheit 9/11" (2004)
Michael Moore's gripping-but-grim examination of 9/11 and its after effects on America (the Patriot Act, the war in Iraq, etc.) is basically a feature length middle finger to the Republican Party in general and George W. Bush in particular. Depending on your political leanings, you'll either think this movie is a bunch of biased, left wing anti-American propaganda, or the most horrifyingly truthful film you've ever seen. (I'm going to keep my opinion to myself.) Either way, this flick will cause a reaction.

Good grief is this show grim. Kudos for getting Maggie Grace to appear as the first guest "victim". Quite gripping, I'll be interested to see how this develops over the next couple episodes.

Well I didn't think it would be unicorns and rainbows.
Thanks for reminding me that I missed it. I'll need to find it On Demand.

Going to have to follow up this show with some comedy. Grim hardly covers the feel of this show. I'm now watching Golden Girls.

Funeral mass for Stan Musial.
I'm not Catholic so I find this interesting.

Bob Costas gave a great eulogy at Musial's mass and then the funeral procession stopped by the Stan The Man statue outside Busch Stadium where hundreds of people had gathered. A single Clydesdale was there and a huge memorial of wreaths, cards and balloons was shown. Musial's family laid a wreath in front of the statue and the crowd sponaneously broke into "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" (something Stan always played on his harmonica). Very moving and fitting sendoff...

A better than average thriller involving the possession of a young girl by a Jewish demon via an antique box. Genuinely creepy overall and reminiscent of 70's thrillers rather than the modern horror film. A very good performance by young actress Natasha Calis makes this well worth the 90 minutes. Recommended!

I've been on the fence with that one, but I will take your recommendation and rent it when I return The Amazing Spiderman to Redbox (providing it's there). I always like a good creepy horror movie. Not so much gory ones (I guess I'm just too empathetic for those-unless bad people are the ones getting tortured ).
