Radio rip of "Where Dreams Go To Die." Sound quality is shit, but it seems like a cool tune.
The chorus was in the early sample video they posted, and it's different here. Unless this rip one got one channel (is that even possible these days?), there is no longer a falsetto (or whatever it is) in the chorus, which is disappointing.
Sounds cooler here in the sample clips. Still a cool song, though. I guess this one was written by Parker.

Sounds good to me. Has an Empire-like vibe to it. I didn't think they would re-created Queen of the Ryche or anything like that. Vocals have a very Tate-like quality for sure.

Sounds good to me as well. This has what the other is lacking....a band that has played together for more than 2 months, and I believe it shows.

It seems that Tate's version changes every two months as well.
The big difference (vocals aside) between songs from both camps is the drumming (IMHDO) and the Tate version failed to put as much of an effort into the final product as the other guys did. Even a deaf guy could hear that !

I totally agree. The drumming on the "real" Queensryche stuff is just tighter.

Well I think half if not most of the drumming on the Tateryche album is programmed. I got both versions of that Tateryche and they definitely changed the drums for the re-recorded stuff. I haven't felt like listening to the album back to back but I did re-listen to re-recorded songs and the drums are different.

Really dig this song. I still miss the harmonies, specifically the higher range, used in the sample clip, but I guess that's not really something Queensryche does. Still a really good tune, though.

They definitely changed some things. I didn't notice the drums, though.

New song is cool...more what people want from Queensryche, I think...still not amazing, but respectable.

By the way, what do you think of the lyrics? Are they directed at Geoff?

It sounds a little lost....though not bad.... I'm not really feeling the production...
Lyrics may indeed be inspired by TheGeoff.

Since Parker wrote it, maybe it's about his ex-wife, Miranda Tate

I haven't been paying too much attention to this whole fiasco, but I definitely like this one better than "Redemption", or anything I've heard off of Tate's album. Seems like this one actually has some potential.
