How gracious is that of Deadline to allow us the privledge to buy 2 versions of the album and then decide which is better!! AWESOME!!

Jeebus, no wonder people illegally download. It's like the record companies are doing everything in their power to self-destruct.

This whole remixing thing brings to mind a saying about turds and the polishing of them.

What that really means is...

"We already sent these to the pressing plant and cannot afford to throw them away, so we will be releasing them as is. Once we see how many copies actually sell we can decide how many of the remixes need to be pressed. Since most of you will be listening to this new album on your laptop speakers or ear buds we hope you won't notice how horrific it really sounds"

If they really had any balls, they'd offer to buy back whichever version fans didn't want. You know, after they get to choose between the 2 albums.

At the very least, they might consider putting a coupon in the "original mix" CD that entitles the buyer to a free copy of the remixed version whenever it becomes available....

I actually like that there letting people choose from both mixes, i'm actually interested to hear what Geoff came up with. I sure wish Metallica had done something like that and made both mixes of Death Magnetic availible(the only legal way to get the original mix of the album is downloading them through the Guitar Hero games)

They actually should just do what Nevermore did a few years back when they released Enemies Of Reality. That album sounded horrible, very unfinished compared to the usual albums. They went and remixed it and sent out remixed versions to people who signed up for it. I forget what actually happened but I got mine

This story just keeps getting more and more absurd, Tate really needs to sit down with Dr Phil or a good drug dealer, face reality.

I got five bucks that says the "remix" version of F.U. will be released on the same day as the ToddRyche album....

I'll admit that I had already kinda planned on buying both "Queensryche" albums mainly due to the "what the f*ck" curiosity factor, and also because at some point one side or the other is going to lose the right to use the Queensryche name in court which will make that version's CD a collectible. But I'll be damned if I'm gonna buy two copies of the same album just to compare the freakin' mixes!!

In Gray's defense, I think all that Nevermore stuff was a bit unfair and he was somewhat of a scapegoat. The album, while definitely having a different sound from previous Nevermore albums, doesn't sound bad. I think it works really well with their style, to be honest.

I never thought Enemies Of Reality sounded that bad either. I never even bothered to get the remixed version.

As for F.U., I'm not really interested in that in the least so I don't have to fret over which version to get.

I'l probably end up getting them both, just because they're bound to go out of print and be collectors items in the future. I bet version 1 even more so.

I am sure you are correct! I agree with SD - I think Cleopatra ordered the remix the figured out that the CD's had already been pressed.....

After Tate's actions and how much the song writing sucks, I can't bring myself to buy any copy of FU.

I haven't seen any used copies of Kings around here. This is typical when an album doesn't sell. It's why I don't have the last QR album.
