Beer!

Kroger has all thes single beers you can combine into a 6-pack. The beers so far have been fairly good but the shining jewel for me so far was:



I will need to track down stores that sell it.

^^^^^Keep in mind as I've said before: I'm not much of a beer person, so this would not interest most of you guys.

You can get all the Leinies here but they're just not my thing. Not bad though, although the one you posted a pic of has fruit flavor in it so I most likely wouldn't like it.

Still way better than crap like Bud, Coors or Miller though.

Fruit flavored beer is not for everybody. Hell, I wan't quite sure I'd like it but decided to try it in my search to find a beer I can really enjoy (like I did with my Honey Brown before they changed the recipie and ruined it). It's certainly better than any of those aweful malt flavored drinks. I've tried so many of those only to throw most of them out.

its almost an epidemic here in the northeast. Its hard not to come in contact with someone who has it now.

My vacation in New Zealand involved of course checking out what they have to offer when it comes to beer.
They have probably the weirdest, cheesiest names for beer...but they are awesome. Some i tried and was pleasantly surprised were:
8 Wired iStout (awesome but quite strong
Epic Hop Zombie
Yeastie Boys Pot Kettle Black
Yeastie Boys Digital IPA

Digital beer...we truly are in the 21st century

I think I've found my new favorite brewery: Founders. On the heels of trying their Imperial Stout I tried their Breakfast Stout.

Bought a 4 pack of this a couple weeks ago and finally got around to tasting it. Check out the BeerAdvocate reviews; they seldom have a 100 by either the BA posters or the people who run the site. Founders Breakfast Stout gets a 100 from both!

All the beers that I've ever liked have poor ratings on that site. I guess I will never be a beer con-a-sewer.

Hey, it's like music; you like what you like. Who cares what anyone else thinks? I just use that site as a gauge to see if I think I'll like a beer I've never tried before. But some of the ones I like score poorly there as well.

EDIT: But if you ever post about loving an Anheuser Busch product I reserve the right to mock you endlessly.

Well, the one thing that turns me away from a beer is too bitter and lingering aftertaste. Except Bud Light Lime and Bud Ice, the major beer brands fail on both accounts (funny enough, those rank even lower than the beers I like).

I'm back to my origional favorite (not as good as it used to be but still enjoyable-providing I don't sip it and finish it before it warms up too much):

Hey Dallas, have you been to Seig's up on Walnut Hill & 75? About as good a selection as I've ever seen. It's in the old Toys R us across from Dave & Busters. I'm making the pilgrimage this weekend myself!

Had Samuel Adams Alpine Spring last night.

How is that? I think it's part of their "Spring Thaw" variety pack this year.

Pretty smooth beer. No bitter aftertaste. Not bad at all.

Another favorite "chocolate" beer. Unlike Southern Tier's "Choklat" this one is not a stout; it's a Belgian ale brewed with chocolate and it's a total winner with me.

I was just googleing images for the book thread and found it. Never seen it in person, then again there are tons of beers that I have never seen.

I agree. I've also had their honey weiss and berry weiss and they were good as well. I will try the some of the others eventually.
