It's Pumpkin Ale season again... the other night I had a couple of Dogfish Head's "Punk-in" ale which was quite tasty, then picked up a sixer of Sam Adams Harvest Pumpkin Ale on the way home.

Has anyone in the U.S. found Iron Maiden's "Trooper" ale in their neck o'the woods yet? I haven't but I'm still on the hunt.

Went to my beer store today and picked up a bunch of pumpkin beers. First up:

So far this is my second favorite pumpkin beer this season behind O'Fallon's Pumpkin beer.

If it will be 12 hours before I have to be back. Since I mostly drink the high ABV Belgians, I can't chance having a beer for just an overnight visit.

Zooey is still the most beautiful woman in my eyes, so that sig was a no brainer. I used to change my avatar and sig every week but with being on the road and visiting here sporadically I wanted something more permanent. So I went with a creepy avatar of me and a sig with multiple Zooeys. The signature phrase will probably be all I change for the foreseeable future.

The avatar and sig work well in tandem. My wife and I are big Zooey fans as well (New Girl is f*cking hilarious) and I think she's the second most beautiful woman next to my wife. This is fascinating considering I've always been attracted more to vintage stars, while most modern ones are kinda blegh.

Last night I had a new one: Crown Valley Imperial Pumpkin Smash.

It's a pumpkin imperial stout. Really different. A guy I work with gave me one last week and after just one bottle I wasn't sure what to think so I picked up a 6 pk yesterday and now I love it. Starts with a cinnamon/nutmeg and pumpkin taste but ends with the chocolate/coffiee tastes of a stout. And at 10.6 ABV it's definitely a sipper.

Struck out AGAIN this weekend whilst hunting for Trooper. A buddy of mine found it at a store here in North Jersey but when I made a trip down there, it was already sold out... angry
