Beer!

Picked up another case of Stone Imperial Russian Stout, 6 more bombers of Gouden Carolus and 4 of something by Southern Tier called Imperial Creme Brulee Stout.

Having an Amberbock by Michelob tonight.

Bought a new one by one of my favorite breweries New Holland.

Unfortunately, "White Hatter" is too hoppy for me. It tries to blend a Belgian White Ale (I love Belgian ales) with an IPA (which I hate).

I bet GrandNational would love this....

So I finally tried Mead and it was too much like a white wine for my taste although the lady serving said there are one's that aren't so dry.

I got my wife and I a bottle last year...and yeah, pretty much the same reaction. We liked it because we both like "sweet" stuff, like port, moscoto, etc.

I haven't tried mead but it can't possibly be sweeter than that Creme Brulee I post about several days ago.

I gotta admit, this sounds disgusting...but seeing how you're so eager for it to come I may look for some. I'm game to try it. I just know all the "berry/flavored" brews and what not I find nasty.

I don't like fruity beers either; at least not ones with fruit flavors added to them. I like the "fruitiness" of Belgians but that comes from the hops not from some actual fruit.

Actually, I don't think exact has tasted it yet. But he got to try Schlafly's Christmas Ale last year and liked it. That's my second favorite from Schlafly.

Actually, I don't think exact has tasted it yet. But he got to try Schlafly's Christmas Ale last year and liked it. That's my second favorite from Schlafly.

correct. I am looking forward to the Pumpkin ale based off of the taste of the Christmas Ale and Toho's comments.

The mouthfeel was good, the body surprisingly light and the carbonation appropriate.

Had a 24 oz. of "Molson XXX" last night... 7.3 percent. Woooo doggie, I was feelin' that one later.

i wasnt sure what to expect but the spice was not overpowering.

I bow to your expertise on all things dookie.

Tonight's brew: O'fallon Brewery's BDS. A Belgian Dark Ale aged in port barrels. Weighs in at 10% ABV. I've been cellaring this bottle for about 6 months so I'm curious to see if it's changed at all.
