I hope so. I'm going to pick up another 6 pack later this month. Now I'm hunting for O'fallon Brewey's Pumpkin beer. That was my first pumpkin beer and was my favorite until I tried Schlafly's. I want to compare this year's vintage of the two.

I LOVE oatmeal stouts; don't know that I've ever had an oatmeal porter but I like porters so that sounds good to me!

Just tried a beer I stumbled upon in the import section of my local supermarket called Innis & Gunn: Rum Finish -On the bottle it says "FULL-BODIED SCOTTISH BEER BURSTING WITH FRUIT AND SPICES". It's an oak aged beer, 7,4% ABV - and it tastes great! Toho, you should check it out!

I will if I can find it. I'm into the "oak aged" beers these days.

After reading so many of Toho's posts concerning Pumpkin Ales, I decided to take the plunge and try one out this week... just picked up a six of Sam Adams Pumpkin Ale. Will report back when I've had a taste, right now it's chilling to maximum coldness in my fridge and will be sampled later this evening.

Went with some Sam Adams Octoberfest to start off the NFL season.

OK, so I had my first ever Pumpkin Ales (by Sam Adams) tonight. Not bad. I was expecting it to be a little sweeter but otherwise, good stuff. I think I'll be investigating some other breweries' take on the Pumpkin thing as Fall approaches.

Sam Adams is pretty consistent. I don't find them exceptional but always a decent buy.

Yep, that's my take on them too. Although I do think their black lager is exceptional.

Sweetness is one thing that really varies widely from one brand of pumpkin ale to another.

I might have posted this before, but the Wasatch Pumpkin Ale is the best one I've ever had.

Got a sixer of O'fallon Pumpkin Beer and while I think it's the best of the pumpkin beer/ales I've tried this year, it's still missing "something".

Trying a 3way hybrid of Pumking, Schlafly's Pumpkin Ale and Ofallon Pumpkin beer. This is the closest I've come to creating what Schlafly's tasted like last year.

Had a Guiness black lager earlier.

I haven't tried that black lager yet but i'm curious.

I actually had a Widmer Hef with lunch. It goes ok with pizza.

Had a Lagunitas Hop Stoopid and a Napa Smith Hopageddon the other night. Both IPAs

I was disappointed in the Guinness black lager, especially compared to the Sam Adams black lager.
