| The Megadeth songs stick more in my mind than the Anthrax songs so I still stand by origional vote of Megadeth. - Quote :
- Thirteen is better than Endgame, which only says so much - It's good, but not excellent like United Abominations - that album really SMOKES!
I agree on both accounts especiall that UA smokes (though most people seem to hate that one) but I think this is the best I've heard from Megadeth since Youthanasia.

I have higher expectations for Anthrax's next album. As far as Megadeth goes, if Dave is in a good place and does what he's honestly feeling at the time. Well then it's real and a fan can't ask for much more than that. This is fun.....every morning it's a new race in this poll. kewl seeing folks participate _________________

The album met my expectations and I like it a lot!!!! I third that sentiment. I'm very happy with both albums. Megadeth's topped Endgame, which never quite clicked with me, and Worship Music will find it's place in a long list of Anthrax's "never released a bad album yet" category. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| I voted for the Anthrax album.
The mix of the Megadeth record is so awful that I cannot listen to it all the way through, the vocals are WAY too loud in the mix and they are the weakest thing about the album. Nothing like accentuating your Achilles heel. Maybe they'll release some live tracks at some point and I'll be able to enjoy those. |

| Anthrax!
I always felt that while Bush was a better singer, the songs they put out with Joey blew away anything else they did with Bush. Worship returns to that form with Devil & Fight 'em sounding like they were written back in the skateboards & comic book days. A BIG step forward for Anthrax from the last 20 years. While 13 is still a good album, at best it's a case of "Same old, same old" and step back from Endgame & UA. As someone said earlier, 13 has a bit of filler.

Smindas wrote this about Endgame back in 2010... - Quote :
It's pretty weak IMO. Sure, the riffs and leads are good, but the songs just aren't there. There's a few really good tracks and the rest of it is just completely unmemorable. I was very disappointed with it. I definitely preferred United Abominations - it had some filler, but it was more consistently enjoyable and I can actually remember the songs on it. I agreed with him then and now. And believe me, I wanted to like that album. I played the sh*t out of it for weeks. Even now, I don't think it's a bad album. I enjoy it enough when it's on, but forget about it the second it ends. Thirteen trumps it in that respect. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. But ultimately, they both suffer from dull songwriting...

| the anthrax being this good, came to my surprise. i had low expectations from them. their new album sounds like they looked for some of their inspirations, i even felt that they where listening to some" public enemy" while getting some ideas to write their music | |

| Okay, now that I FINALLY own Anthrax Worship Music, it has gone to number one with a bullet on my list of the best of 2011. This CD is the perfect blend of aggression, melody, harmony and shred! I will admit, that I'm not nearly as familiar with the Anthrax catalogue as I should be, so I have little to compare this to, and had no expectations when I listened to it for the first time, but I believe this has got to be the best album Anthrax has ever made. It's got to be! It simply kills from beginning to end. Please forgive my unbridled enthusiasm. This Worship Music has me all fired up! However, after all that being said, I will subtract half a point for the long break between the last track and the bonus track. I'm also subtracting half a point for using the F word. 9 out of 10. I am so metal! | |

The fact that it tries too hard to sound aggressive and thrashy, and ends up sounding forced and unnatural. The fact that Andy Sneap's production is lifeless(as usual). The fact that most of the songs simply aren't very good.

| Uhm, Not A fan of rehashing old Ideas (tho I believe only MOTORHEAD, AC/DC and OVERKILL can always get away with it), TH1RTEEN is meh, sounded like ENDGAME Disc 2 (B-Sides perhaps), Actually THIRTEEN made me like 'Cryptic Writings' even more. and...I have yet to hear a memorable solo from Broderick..Marty did it on every album he's in, including the dismally atrocious 'Risk'.. there's the big difference right there
The Anthrax CD was slightly better, but not that great either
While I leaned towards Anthrax a bit more, voted they both sucked
