Some mtalcore bands I like:Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine, Killswitch Engage, Underoath, Shadows Fall, Atreyu, All That Remains, Avenged Sevenfold, Biohazard, and Sonic Syndicate

Biohazard is not metalcore.

Yup. Great album. I saw them at Vino's in Little Rock, AR on this tour. First time I'd ever seen people standing in the middle of a mosh pit, eyes closed, arms raised to the ceiling, and praying. So bizarre. Haha.

I love that album also, I never had it originally but when I was younger I had the in memorium compilation and I always used to jam the tracks that were on it from Reborn.

Reborn is very nearly as good as the s/t IMO, it's just good in a different way.

Reborn is a very cool album by LS!

I wouldn't call NIV metalcore. Even though that album is extremely heavy, it's still straight up 90s hardcore. Great band, though! =)

I also don't think Reborn is metalcore. I'd call it "groove metal."

I think I'm more of a groove-core fan (If that term exists) lol

I also like crossover metal more than metalcore... Cro-Mags, SOD, Suicidal Tendencies, The Crucified etc...

I agree with MG that Shadows Fall were more of a Metalcore band and their later releases have gone in a more Thrashier direction.I've always liked them the most out of the metalcore crowd.Also really like Unearth alot too.

God, no. As much as I dislike all the genre terms, someone needs to come up with something for bands like that. Screamo-emo or something.

I'm glad this board doesn't mindlessly hate on metalcore bands. It's like the next nu-metal since not too many people care about nu-metal any more.

Awesome! I've heard a few songs off Youtube but not the whole album, and thought about actually picking it up. The problem is finding it somewhere around here. Christian hardcore/metalcore/deathcore/anythingcore is HUGE around here. Pretty much every guy that goes to church (everyone) and listens to heavy metal listens to all those bands, except for LS and ZAO which are the best two (and first two). Therefore stores don't carry much of those two bands.

I hope this style disappears soon!
