I felt that way too about it not feeling like a concept album. It just seems to go from one song to another like any other Alice album would. I'm still waiting for mine to come in the mail.

Other than that, the Classic Rock fan pack is on its way as well.

Yea newbury is weird some times. I got a email saying it was sent out last week which usually means it should have been here at least yesturday. Got the mail today and still nothing. I didn't get the new Anthrax either which went out Friday from Best Buy. Also I ordered the new Dream Theater Box set and got a email saying it is delayed a little bit. Thankfully I was able to hear these albums and I'm actually listening to the new Dream Theater now, but I want the real thing!

I got the same email last week. From any other distro, it would've been here by now. I think they must send out the email saying it's been shipped well before they actually ship it.

I also ordered Anthrax from Best Buy and didn't get it either. They usually time it just right to arrive in my mail box the day of the release.

I ordered Matheos/Arch from Amazon and it showed up today (release day) and I forgot it was being released with the other big releases (DT, Anthrax, Alice Cooper)

Hasn't shown up yet. Sad

The only reason I even ordered it from them was for the autograph. I had already ordered the Fan Pack from Classic Rock magazine. I knew the CR version would take awhile to get here because I did the same with the Whitesnake album and I don't think that arrived until a week or so after the album was released.

I am up to track 8 and I am enjoying this. I think it would have been better to title the album something else. I keep thinking of the original and this one doesnt sound like the famililar friend that one is.

I think I'm with you on this one. I like what I'm hearing, but I don't get the "nightmare concept" that ties the songs together like on the original. Maybe futher spins will help the concept gel a bit more, but this didn't need the "Nightmare" tag on it. It's classic Alice Cooper (a little of this, a little of that), but calling it a sequel just comes off as more of a marketing gimmick than anything.

PS I haven't even had this one for 24 hours, yet I already like it better than Along Came A Spider.

spot on! There is some vintage Alice going on here. I like all the ecletic stuff going on...

This definitely has some vintage vibe.

It sounds a lot more ALICE than the last one did, IMO.

I got mine today. I actually got 2 autographed ones today Razz I ended up cancelling the one that came with a magazine. I ordered a couple other things and I figured I really don't need it.

I actually can't stop listening to this. There are so many reasons why this album should not be as great as it is, but Alice really executed this one well. I can't wait to hear some of these songs live (it's too bad "What Baby Wants" can't be done well).

Playing this in my car on the way into work this morning, really listening to the songs, I'm starting to hear the "nightmare" concept more. It's starting to come together in my mind.

It's a really good album.

I listened to it this morning and I am hooked. I liked the last one but this is the best Alice I've heard since The Eyes Of Alice Cooper. Every song is catchy and well written, a five star album (best track is probably the bonus track-Under The Bed). This will certainly be in my top 5.

Maybe not the best track, but I'd take that one over the one with Kesha. That tune seems a little outta place to me and not just because of her.

Nothing more than a concession on Alice's part to get Ezrin to sign on, more than likely.

I am glad he did it. This is a very good cd.

Finally listened to it all the way through for the first time. I do think it's better than Along Came A Spider but I'm not sure how I feel about it completely. It's a mixed bag right now in my eyes but maybe it will grow on me.

Favorites so far: "I Am Made of You", "Caffeine", "I'll Bite Your Face Off", "Something to Remember Me By", "What Baby Wants"

I've been listening to this on the way to work over the last few days and I'm loving it. I was a little unsure at first, but the eclectism and overall quality of songwriting really is a return to form. I can't seem to get 'I Gotta Get Outta Here' out of my head.

that is how I feel too. I think it is a very good album and the differnt songs are disjointed at first but mesh on a couple of listens. This is really a lot better than i expected when I first heard they were going the sequel route.

The nightmare concept is coming together for me. It took a few listens to gel, but I think I get it now. I almost never understand concept albums unless they're spelled out to me, but I get this one. Horray for me! Alice Cooper: Welcome 2 My Nightmare - Album artwork and track listing - Page 5 778825

How does everyone feel about "When Hell Comes Home"? Awful song, IMO. Easily the worst on the album.

The subject matter it's kinda disturbing to listen to, but I think that's the point. The song itself isn't bad though. I don't mind it. The only song I don't care much for is 'What Baby Wants'. Seems a little outta place.

I did. My mom told me that only the most special, coolest kids got to ride in that one.:geek:

This. I like every song on that album but 'What Baby Wants' is the weakest and most out of place song on this album. I will listen to it for the second time tomorrow (I already have my playlist for today finished) to see if my attitude changes, but this should be in my top 5 this year.

Weirdly the guys on the AC boards praise When Hell Comes Home as one of the best tracks. I assume it's because the original band members performed on it.

Personally, I think the worst track is easily Ghouls Gone Wild. It's the only one that I don't really like.

It's not the subject matter that disturbs me on "When Hell Comes Home"... it's the music itself.

I like "What Baby Wants". It's just rock/pop. "Ghouls Gone Wild" is kinda lame though.

I Ghouls Gone Crazy is a good song but the What Baby Wants is out of place - kinda like that bonus track on Dirty Diamonds.

I'll be picking this up Friday along with the Anthrax. I'm pretty excited about it, usually I'd just buy a AC record outright, but after Along Came A Spider I wasn't so sure about this one. Can't wait to hear the tracks the original band plays on.
