Another one that came up on shuffle last night:

Steve Jones - Fire & Gasoline

While I understand their place in music history, I never cared much for the Sex Pistols. But Jonesy put out a killer hard rock album in the late 80's. I liked his work with the Neurotic Outsiders too.

I like both of his solo records also but IMO it does not touch the Sex Pistols, Never Mind the Bollocks, but that maybe a bit unfair, even if the Pistols album was horrid (which it isn't!!!) , it is hard to live up to that type of hype and impact that album had.

His solo stuff and his work in the Pistols is apples and oranges. No comparrison. And I'm kinda picky in my punk rock choices. I'm not taking anything away from the Pistols, they just didn't float my boat.

I've actually never heard Steve's first album Mercy. I only have Fire & Gasoline.
