That Vince Neil album is better than any Crue album he was on.

The cover of "Set Me Free" is unbelievable on that album.

Van Halen did covers of Louis Prima songs?

Im going to go with Timo Tolkki from Stratovarius. I mean, hes a guitar player and he has his style but he could change it up a bit. Anything he does now pretty much sounds like a bad version of stratovarius. I can't even listen to his stuff anymore, although he did a pretty good job on the newest Allen Lande album, but again listening to that I hear Stratovarius.

Vince also has a live album that is pretty good and it sounds like a live Crue album.
And Eat Em and Smile was the Best Van Halen album that Van Halen never recorded!

Does Halford's band Fight count? It wasn't really a solo band per se...

Yeah, only because everyone song on it is a Motley Crue song! Haha.
And do some of you really think Exposed is better than anything Motley Crue released, or are you joking?

I don't know about better but at least on par with most of their stuff (except for maybe Too Fast For Love and Shout At The Devil)

Wow, I don't think I've ever made it through a full song on that album; Vince sounds awful on it in my opinion.

Even if you wanted to count it, I don't really know if you could say Fight sounded like Priest.
Also, was it just me, or did Halford's voice sound kind of strained and weak on that first Fight album? I like the album in general, but his voice sounds kind of choked off like he had a cold or something.

Leather Leone's Shock Waves sounded like Chastain. No wonder though as it was written by David himself mostly, iirc.

I bought Vince's cd - way back when - despite that one SILLY song - " You can come along, but your girlfriend cant " - something like that - Anyways, I was surprised - song after song after song - wild lyrics - wilder guitar riffs and solos - good production...for 4 bux ! Is Vince's live cd any good ? I've been tempted once or twice - to buy it - I thought Dee's Widowmaker cd was just as good - song after song after song - I couldn't believe how Dee stepped away from Sister's influence - the drumming was loud and fantastic - Dee's best lyrics EVER - and harmonies - HALFORD was another killer cd - he nailed it - and Bruce Dickinson on a duet -

I think my love for Exposed is pure Stephens fandom, but I also find Vince's voice slightly more tolerable. Just never been big on the Crue.

I think that and I'm not joking. Better than any Vince Neil fronted albums, yes...IMO.

It's a very good album and definitely better than a number of Crue's albums, but not all. In my opinion, of course. =)

Surprised no one mention Dio.
Don Dokken never quit Dokken to make that solo album, He just made it aside from Dokken.
