Can we start an on-line petition to stop bands from covering 'Paint It Black' anymore? Ever. That's enough, people!! Yeesh!!
Agreed. There are a ton of Stones tracks to choose from if someone really wants to cover them. It seems like countless people have covered Paint It Black but have never come close to capturing the creepiness of the original.

The Boys did an excellent cover of "Better Move On".

Then you really don't want to hear the rock-a-billy version.

Ha! I've requested the same thing! "Paint It Black" has been covered waaaaay to much. I do love Rage's version of it, though. Quite unique.
That rules!
There are a number of other songs that I think have been covered to much, or covered way too plainly way too often, but I just woke up and can't think of them. =) But "Paint It Black" is at the top!

Nice job. I recognize the song, but who did the original?

Is that acutally the Sex Pistols playing on 'Black Leather'? It was my understanding that the song was written by Steve Jones for the Pistols, but Johnny Rotten didn't like it because it wan't "punk" enough and was never recorded by them. It was only demoed by Jones.
That's the story I heard anyway, years ago before teh interwebs.

Good question, sadly I have no answer for that, I almost posted the Runaways doing this song too well Joan Jett but I think she did this during the time she was in the Runaways, this song is one of those songs that gets me pumped up and wants to drive at excessive speeds heh

No Pearl Jam fan, but this is awesome!
Possibly the ultimate cover.
So much fun, Lemmy goes back to his roots.

Rubbish. Lemmy never left his roots.
That is classic though. I miss his white boots!
