I had not heard that one before. That rips!

Yeah, it's just flat out awesome. It was the b-side to The Trooper single.
When I got my first CD burner I made an alternate version of Piece Of Mind and I replaced Quest For Fire (gag) with Cross-Eyed Mary. A much better album!

My other favorite Iron Maiden cover.
Here they combine two Nektar songs from A Tab in The Ocean together; "Crying In The Dark" and "King Of Twilight". This was the b-side to the Aces High single.

One more killer Iron Maiden cover....
This is "A Rainbow's Gold" by forgotten UK band "Beckett" from 1974. The original song features 3 part vocal harmonies which Bruce tackles via overdubbing. Nick's drum intro and the killer guitar sound are two the highlights on here...as well as the Zeppelin inspired mid-section. Killer recording as well.

IMO that is the best of the 3 that were posted. I need to find the original of that band and the Maiden Cover post-haste.

Yeah, the 3 part vocal harmonies really stand out. They only released one album, a couple of the members would join Paul Kosoff's band "Back Street Crawler" a year later.

That's pretty damn good. Actually It's really damn good. I thought Annihilated Scorched Earth sounded most like Slayer. This is right on par. Checking out Seek and Destroy right now. How do I get there stuff?
I love the buried Alive cover too.

I found the album on Amazon but it was $28.00 which is a but rich for my blood at the moment.

Sorry 'bout that gigantic desktop background sized pic I used, and thanks S.D. for taking the time to fix that part of my post instead of just deleting that part or the whole thing. I incorrectly assumed that it would be automatically downsized by HOM. I should have read the site's posting info more closely. I'll make sure to use much smaller images in the future. Exactly 3 weeks until Kreator/Accept!!!
No problem. I wish the board software would automatically resize, but as of yet I haven't been able to find the setting to turn that on, it's possible the version of the board software we are using isn't compatible.
That Kreator/Accept tour looks very cool. I only got to see Kreator once in the mid-90s in Seattle, they played a gig in a tiny club for about 30 people...but they still played a kick-ass show despite the pathetic turnout.
I've only seen Kreator once, in 2003. I got a bit worked up at that show-ha, I think I'll try to remain observant this time. And speaking of reducing large files down to size, were I to post a question concerning doing just that for youtube uploading, would that go in "Of Unsound Mind"? (if anywhere on HOM?) it's a decent 90's bootleg Motorhead show, and it's a tad large. Maybe you know how?
This one just hit the web...Metallica's cover of 'When A Blind Man Cries' from the forthcoming Deep Purple tribute album Re-Machined: A Tribute to Machine Head.
Not too shabby.
