Yeah, he's only had 2 post-VH records, IMO, that are really good, solid albums all the way around...Marching To Mars and Ten 13. The others have good stuff on them, but not all the way through. I agree. I think that "Let Sally Drive" is one his best tunes.

| Went to the thrift store today and:
Live - Secret Samadhi Live - Birds of Prey Live - Mental Jewelry Live - The Distance to Here Ozzy - Ozzmosis
Total - $5.00
Live is one of the very very few bands from the 90's that I liked then and now. There have always been Cd's that I wanted more but for a buck apiece, I couldn't pass it up.

Total $10.00 | |

My Favorite album by Live is Birds of Prey, as it is a solid rock album. Mental Jewelry is my second.

I thought I was the only person on this board who would admit to buying that. I love 80s pop rock and that album is an enjoyable album from that era.

I enjoy some pop, and I have great respect for the artists that actually write (!GASP!) and play their own instruments. Roxette, Midnight Oil, INXS, Matchbox-Twenty to name a few.

| Roxette is one of those rare pop groups where the rest of the album is as good or even better than the hits. Sleeping Single is my favorite off of Look Sharp!
Hastings two for a buck bin. Sadly, despite some good stuff in there, I think I'm the only one buying from it.
Biohazard - State Of The World Address (could of sworn I had this before. Now I do) Advent - Remove The Earth

The chick in that band had a great voice. Sadly, there is no Hastings or anything like it around here. Half Price Books is the only place around here that I can get CDs less than $5.

I completely agree that their whole albums are fantastic! My favorite track by Roxette is "How Do You Do" but I have no clue what album it is off of. My favorite track off of Look Sharp! is "The Look" but the entire album is fantastic start-to-finish. No filler at all.

Live - Birds Of Prey Scars Of Tomorrow - Horror Of Realization Jesus & Mary Chain - Stone & Dethroned Jesus & Mary Chain - Hate Rock N' Roll That Live album is a monster! They really show off their RnR chops and the lyrics are a whole lot less whiny. It is my favorite of their releases by far.

| My best find ever is the original press of Metallica's Kill 'Em All on Megaforce Records on CD. Never knew this edition existed and then i saw it and how different the layout was so i purchased it for a mere $10 and checked Ebay and when it rarely shows up goes upwards of $200. | |

| That Cheap Trick is a good album but that cover always freaked me out on so many levels.
My FYE had a blue sticker .25 sale but they wouldn't ring up and the cashier wouldn't honor it. Oh well, can't win them all. Shame too because there were some good quarter finds.
From Hastings dollar bin and all were new/sealed
Sepultura - Dante XXI Therion - Gothic Kabbalah 2 disc Dew Scented - Impact Thunderstone - The Burning Omnium Gatherum - Years In Waste Fireball Ministry - Second Great Awake Jethro Tull - Thick As A Brick

This is the 2nd time I'm buying that one. I think I may have bought that as a new release, then for reasons I can't remember now, ditched it. Coupla clunkers on there but overall, a decent album. And yea, the clown is a little freaky. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. That era of Rob wanting to be Phil Anselmo is pretty ridiculous. And that's saying something for a man that has worn some pretty ridiculous outfits over the years. The torn jean culottes, combat boots and sleeve-less flannel combined with his tough-guy vocal approach has not aged well at all. The music holds up well enough, but it sounds very dated. 90's-aggro-groove-metal at it's finest. I wasn't looking for that disc, but for .88 cents, I couldn't pass it up. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Pretty much how I've felt about every Cheap Trick since Lap Of Luxury. Some real good stuff in with some pretty average stuff. Cool in getting it a second time on the cheap - love when that happens. - Quote :

Crazy thing is the Hastiings bin is hidden away near the kids board games. You couldn't get it any further from the actual music section. Unless you know where to look you'd never come across it. No idea why they do that. And I have Birds Of Prey on the playlist for the weekend.
