And Nevermore and Helloween and Gama Ray.......Yeah, guess i'm easy. I do agree on the Thunderstone, that was a turd and has tainted their past stuff for me. |

| I was not disappointed with Ratt at all but that could be because anything would have been an improvement their self titled reunion thread fest when tired the first time around.
But I suspect I still would like it because it is a fun, cool, kick ass rock n roll album.

I'm embarrassed to say I do not own ONE Gamma Ray cd. That needs to change.

Yeah I did not think the Orphaned Land album was as good as my expectation for it to be was either though the tour was Awesome!

| I forgot about Symphorce - Unrestricted, I was expecting something great like Become Death or Godspeed but that album makes Twice Second look great. I have all of the Symphorce albums and I now have a new least favorite Symphore album. | |

X10 Agree with both of you! Likewise, they are all great discs imo. Also, after not hearing it for several months, I've decided to give Fozzy - Chasing The Grail another spin, and I am really digging it this time around.

| Ah yes - one thing more. The Helstar remasters - while sounding louder and more powerful I really think the killed the dynamics of such a superbly crafted record in "Nosferatu". Plus the original sounds just FINE! | |

Once you get used to the fact that Fozzy is a modern metal band (despite their traditional covers in the past), there is some great catchy music to be found.

| I have finished my top 50 so I can add a few more disappointments.
Firewind-Days Of Defiance: With The Premonition being such a favorite of mine, I miss the real catchy melodies. There is plenty of melody on this album but fairly weak and no where near as catchy.
Blind Guardian-At The Edge Of Time: Maybe Nightfall is such an awesome album that nothing can ever make BG interesting to me. Either way, at least this was better than the last one, but not by much.
Borknagar-Universal: Glad to see them back to the style that made me a fan but nothing sticks in my ears as well as Empiricism did.*
Heart-Red Velvet Car: I wasn't expecting the sound Heart established in the 80s but I was expecting something a little more rocking and not so heavily accoustic.
Yngwie Malmsteen-Relentless: Not band songs but I see why people get irritated with Yngwie, his guitar solos go on too long. What also goes on too long is the album, it could have been shorted 2-3 songs.

| It's not Become Death but I find it enjoyable. And I like the new Firewind. Some of you have your undies too tight. |

Scorpions - Sting in the Tail
Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier...... I liked it but......
Dio - Live ..... how many times can you list a song, but it's only 1 MINUTE LONG?!?!?!?!
Dio passing was a HUGE disappointment.....
WASP - Babylon ..... lots of big hope/hype and I thought it was pretty good, but I've not played it in MONTHS....

Which has me all confused because I'm not a prog fan and I'm a casual Maiden fan that is bored by them very easily but I thought this album was great. Probably will make my Top 10 this year.

| What i wanted on Final Frontier was a couple of tracks like be quick or be dead.
Pur old speed à la Maiden.
Instead, i was served with nothing but long boring songs.
