Liked it much more than I expected. Think it works better if you know the story beforehand - not unlike most music bio-pics. Also Dakota Fanning may be for real in taking on adult roles.

Robin Hood (Russel Crowe)

Not a spectacular movie, but it had a nice pace and vibe that appealed to me. Sets the stage for future movies.

'Freddy Vs. Jason' - a lot of fans were disappointed in this flick when it finally came out (after years spent in development hell), but I have never understood why. Were they expecting Shakespeare?
"FvJ" pretty much gave me everything I wanted to see, i.e. 90 minutes of gory violent nonsensical fun with Freddy & Jason beating the absolute crap out of each other (and some annoying stock-character teenyboppers caught in the middle). I had a big stupid fanboy smile on my face for the entire running time.

'Man on Wire', a doco about a tightrope walker who went between the twin towers in 1974. Good stuff!

Hot Tub Time Machine

Was completely entertained by this. It's a little over the top with some of the gross-out gags but otherwise a fun hour n' half. Great cultural references too. It'd be funny what someone not alive during that era thought of it. Crispin Glover needs to be in more things.

I loved JCVD. Should've done more to give him a big career comeback. Pretty brave performance and he does it well.


Friday The 13th in 3-D bluray

Well had to watch it in 2-D since netflix didn't send glasses. Of course I loved it. Always has been one of my favorites in the franchise. Since it's Halloween season I'll probably just continue on with the series.

I'm thinking about getting that one too. Now that I have a Blu-ray player (not something I planned on getting but came as part of a package from Best Buy), I'm really getting spoiled with how good my all-time favorites look.
