| Dead Snow. A pretty cool Norwegian zombie flick with Nazi zombies ! The zombies are a little different in this one, although they do bite they don't appear to be cannibalistic and would rather just rip you apart and are far from mindless. | |

You must have catched all the praise this movie has been getting here, no? Actually ,no. I must have missed the discussion on it (although I had read about it on another b-movie forum). It just happened to be added to my On Demand this month and once I read the synopsis on it,I had to see it as zombie movies are one of my great pleasures.

Yeah, we had a thread about Dead Snow earlier. I'd say it's a decent zombie flick and I like the fact that the Nazi zombies not only move fast but also think but overall I didn't think it lived up to the hype. "In the top 25 zombie movies of all time"? Yeah probably, but then that's not exactly a crowded category either. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I enjoyed it as well, I knew exactly what it was going to be like, but it was nicely performed by all. |

| Started Wishmaster 2. This one has problems right from the start. The heroine is a murderer? WTF? Some good gore FX but some really stupid ones too (the "Go F Yourself" sequence makes no sense). _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I watched it Sunday night and have yet to find someone else that has seen or even heard of it (excluding the esteemed movie geeks here). | "Amazing Journey: Six Quick Ones" - a documentary about The Who, consisting of six short films -- profiles of all four original Who members, a segment on Pete Townshend's writing style, and finally a look at the recording sessions for the first new Who song in 20+ years, "Good Lookin' Boy." Maybe it's because I'm only a casual Who fan but I found this film pretty dry. There's some cool vintage live clips of the band sprinkled throughout but for the most part it's just Daltrey, Townshend, and a bunch of related guests (producers, management, etc.) talking, talking, talking, talking. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| May. Pretty solid horror film with Angela Bettis as a maladjusted nerd who talks to dolls.
The Russian Specialist. Pretty good DTV action movie with story by, directed by, and starring Dolph Lundgren. It turns out that Dolph is a pretty good director. While this doesn't reinvent the wheel for action movies, it does action right in a way that I haven't seen much from Hollywood in the past decade or so.
