Yes, I had some friends who wanted to see it so I took them. I haven't seen the origional so I can't really compare the two.

| A Nightmare on Elm Street remake. It was okay, but I've never been a huge Elm Street fan anyway. | |

| While channel surfing this PM I came across "RoboCop" on one of the Spanish channels... and even though I don't speak a word of Espanol, I actually watched for a few minutes Watching a favorite movie in a foreign language is a rather surreal experience. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Watching a favorite movie in a foreign language is a rather surreal experience. I have 'The Neverending Story' on an old DVD, and on it there is a French tracking of the film. I once decided I wanted to watch the movie, at about 1 in the morning, and accidentally turned it to the French version. Can't describe the surrealist properties of a giant rock speaking in French and eating other rocks on screen at 1 in the morning when you're dead tired.

Amazing film. One of my all time favorites. Watched The Patriot last night. Good flick, although a bit over the top at times.

I thought that movie was boring. Anyway I watched Poseidon, not the worst movie ever, but not much really happens. Everything seems a little too convinient (e.g. the boat floating in the sea just waiting for them to jump on). Although the way Kurt Russell's character dies is hilarious, not the actual dying (drowns) but the way he flaps his arms and then conviniently reverses the propellers.

To each his own.... I thought it was good becasue it resembled the original trilogy so well. _________________

| "2012" - the team that brought us "Independence Day" and "The Day After Tomorrow" destroys the Earth yet again. Abso-frickin-lutely LUDICROUS movie. It was fun watching various landmarks and cities get vaporized for a little while but by the halfway point it became total overkill. All special FX, no story. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

I thought it was well done, good story and was the true sequel to Superman II (as opposed to the piece of horse crap known as Superman III!)

Yeah, you could use that movie & the latest Transformers flick as the pinnacle examples of everything wrong with American cinema. |

| The wife & I watched 'It's Complicated' Saturday night. Cutesy movie that would appeal to the Baby Boomer generation more than anything. If you like to watch middle aged folks screw around, make Viagra jokes and get "wacky" because they shared a joint, you'll enjoy this. ***WARNING*** You will see Alec Baldwin's naked ass. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Star Trek fest of late:
Star Trek: The Motion Picture (both the theatrical & director's editons) Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan Star Trek III: The Search For Spock Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
now I'm planning on skipping part V and going straight to The Undiscovered Country. |

| V is only somewhat of a mess, it has some of the best Trek scenes in the films IMO..don't skip ittttt... you went through III, nothing is worse than that one. | |
