So how is Pt 2 of The Descent?
The original is one of my all time favorite horror movies so I'm really afraid of "sequel-itis" where the sequel totally sucks.

Maniac.
I thought it was a slasher movie but it's really more of a psycho killer movie (yes, I think there's a difference). Wasn't very good.

That's actually a classic among fans of low budget gore cinema.
And you're right, it's not a slasher movie. It's further "out there" than that.

That's the one where Tom Savini get's his head blown off in a car, right? Or was Tom the killer?

Very good movie. I liked this one a lot. Nice twists.

Over the top silly but with some legitimately funny parts. The kids loved it.

I didn't get around to watching it last night. I'll be watching it tonight. I've seen the opening scene, but didn't get to finish the whole movie (was drinking at a mates house at the time, and had to get home before I passed out....)
You're right on No Country For Old Men. Decent movie, but not NEARLY as good as everyone was saying. The part Javier Bardem played was really good, though.

I just got a blu-ray player so I've been re-watching a few...
Knowing (not as good as it could have been, but still a neat flick) Sunshine (the blu ray transfer is far superior to the dvd, improved all the fx shots) The Shining (the best looking film transfer I've ever seen, blew me away) 28 Days Later (man I love this movie....)

I thought that was a pretty good movie too. Despite the negative feedback it received. Great directing and acting!

I never read any of his books, but I loved all the movies and adaptions. I remember watching a crappy VHS bootleg of Lord Of Illusions when it was brand new in theaters. I also remember hearing an interview with him on English radio many years ago. They asked people to phone in and ask questions. This was way before the internet, and I phoned in to ask him how many of his books/novels that had been made into movies. They never got around to aks him my question, but I remember Clive going through the list of people he didn't have time to answer, and thanked, amongst others, Gurt (sic!) from Norway!
