I don't understand how the mothership could be idle for 20 years then all of a sudden fires up when Christopher and his son get there in the little ship. What made the mothership stop in the first place?

I also don't get how the black fluid that powers the little ship also can morph humans into prawns.

Ah, O.K. Yeah, I like knowing that kind of stuff as well. However, it didn't detract from my overall enjoyment too much.

Watched Moon most recently. Kind of a cross between 2001 A Space Odyssey and a suspense/drama.

Just watched A Good Year. Ridley Scott actually does pretty good with a drama. Acting was good as well. Russel Crowe came across very believable.

Not to mention how hot Marion Cotillard is!!!

The Howling. Classic old school flick. This is how you are suppose to make a monster movie. No CGI, no CW cast. Love the bladder effects and the mechanical effects.

And you're right about Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It's not horrible - but it's not great either.
