| Welcome back. Sucks to hear that Slaughter were bad. I've not seen 'em in years, but back in 1999 when I saw them for the first time, it was that show that made me a fan. They were great. Of course that was 10 years ago. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| I saw Slaughter with Whitesnake and Kip Winger in 2001 or 02, and they were ok, I do remember that Mark Slaughter sounded screech (that is putting it nicely).
Mark Slaughter now mostly makes his money doing voice overs etc,

Right. Makes you wonder if that somehow made his rock voice go bad on him.

I didn't know that. Cool. Do you know what shows he has voiced on? Quite a bit, actually; and you'd never know it unless you were told. The biggest one, I think, is Animaniacs. But maybe not. I'm not too up-to-date on today's cartoons and stuff. http://www.markslaughter.net/Mark%20Slaughter%20Voice-over.mp3 He's really good.

He's really good. Oh wow! He is good. But I could see how those many voices would really hurt his singing voice though.

| Thanks Ult! It's just been CRAZY for a LONG time (not that it still isn't). In the past 6 months I've traveled to Israel (on business) on 2 separate occassions (for 2 weeks each time), and I'm going back to Israel again next week for another 2 week stay. | |

| Is The Wild Life worth picking up? I can get it cheap, but wondering if it's worth even that. | |

I like it the least, but there's some really good tunes on it. Not a bad album, really; just maybe a bit rushed.

It's definitely worth picking up cheap ... if you are even somewhat of a Slaughter fan. I wouldn't part with my copy - let's put it that way. But it's not as good as their debut either.

| The Wild Life is Slaughter's second best album, IMO. 9.75/10 | |

| I'd definitely pick up The Wild Life, there are some brilliant cuts on there. A bit weak at a few points though.
Also that voice-over clip of Mark Slaughter is surprisingly good. _________________

He should have been keeping his vocals in top shape instead. Too bad. What a waste.

| There's no reason why he wouldn't have been able to do both. I can't think why doing cartoon voices would have wrecked his vocals. The only thing that would have ruined his singing ability is a lack of practice and general care. _________________ | |

I guess that's probably what happened then. Too bad - I was really hoping for another Slaughter album too.

| Well, to be honest, he wasn't such a good singer anyway. Of course, compared to dudes like Halford, Dio or Udo. I remember playing fear no evil to my fiancee, and her first reaction was: ewwww. who's singing? | |
