But I already bought the albums and I'm not sure I wanna fork out the dough for the double-versions. I wouldn't bother with the Testament reissue. Not much there to justify the extra cash. The Lacuna Coil reissue is better. It's got like four bonus studio tracks and a bunch of acoustic and live tunes. Of course, the album isn't all that great, so it's probably not worth buy again. For the first time, sure, but if you already own them, you can skip 'em. And I picked up that High on Fire disc. It was $5.99! That's awesome. Listened to a few tracks. Sounds great. Vocals are still pretty heavy.

| Is the Testament re-issue a bonus cd or dvd of live music? I doubt I'll get it either way, but a cd would get my attention faster than another dvd I'll never watch. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Agreed. There's no good reason for a reissue without any new original bonus tracks. | |

| Haven't posted this in a while. Why? Because it's been crap! As tomorrow mostly is. Is this a sign the industry dying quicker than expected? Granted, these lists are largely major label releases, but that's still a fairly big deal.

I love Delerium, but can't stand the remix crap. It spiraled out of control after that Eurofag remixed "Silence." Bastard.

| I agree the remixes are not nearly as good as their original, untouched material. But I just got a little turned-on at the mere mention of the name of Delerium. Their albums are all quality material. So it's worth getting a little excited at the mention of their name. *whoop!* | |

| Black Sabbath and Metallica are teaming up for a special single. Yes, that’s right: Sabbath and Metallica. Come on in to find out more…
Limited to just 1,000 copies, and available on 12-inch only, this will feature the Unkle remix of Metallica’s Frantic on one side and an alternative version of the Sabs’ Paranoid on the other, with different lyrics.
This is being released for Record Store Day on April, which celebrates the continued existence of independent record stores. Find out more at www.recordstoreday.com

Are these Record Store Day releases worth anything?

I would imagine that their "limited release" status would make them collectible. If you look at that website, it appears that different stores get different limited releases, so your local store might not even get the one you want. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. They're sold. I almost bought the Queen EP last time, but I see it for sale still on eBay and stuff. That's why I asked the previous question. I also wonder if this limited edition crap is truly limited. How would we know if only 1,000 copies were pressed?

| Last year on Record Store Day there were four teenage D-bags in the front of the line who bought up all the Slayer and Misfits records. That seemed to be what most of the people were going for. They then proudly proclaimed they only got them to ebay'em. I suggested to the manager they use a ticket system this year, but he admitted that would be too much work (gotta love record store clerks). I'm tempted to go for the first spot in line this year and just grab everything only to then hand it over to the first people who actually want it. Funny thing is once the collector's thinking wore off I was actually glad I didn't spend 27.00 on a Misfits vinyl. | |
