New Mexico is known for quite a few things including being the ‘Green Chile Capital of the World’, and for the fact that the Rio Grande River runs the entire length of the state. But did you know New Mexico is also known for being home to one of Christian Metal’s longest running thrash band’s? That’s right New Mexico thrashers Ultimatum have been pounding away and releasing their brand of thrash Metal to their devout fans for over 20 years now! Having performed countless shows, playing many festivals and releasing 5 full length LP’s, 1 EP, 2 demos and various compilation contributions Ultimatum have been going strong and based in New Mexico for over 20 years now.
2012 marks Ultimatum’s 20th Anniversary and the band is excited to announce they will be going back in to the studio this summer to record a handful of brand new tracks for a very special 20th Anniversary compilation! Ultimatum is also pleased to announce they have once again signed on with Roxx Records to bring this special 20th Anniversary release to the masses. And to even take it a step further the band is going to do something a little out of the ordinary and let you, the fans, select your favorite Ultimatum tracks for this very special compilation. Right now via the Roxx Productions website you can go in and select your top ten favorite Ultimatum tracks! The top 10 to 12 tracks, as voted on by you, will be included along with 3 or 4 brand new tracks to complete this very special 20th Anniversary compilation.
Roxx Records is very pleased and excited to be a part of this very special release and will be working with the band to make some very special packages for the bands dedicated fans. Including a special pre-order bonus disc that will contain a compilation of rare tracks culminated throughout the bands career which will include previously unreleased demos, live tracks and rarities. As well as some very special box sets that will be announced as we get closer to the Fall 2012 release date. In addition the band is graciously going to be raffling off some very cool Ultimatum historical artifacts to all those who get in on the pre-order once it is announced this summer! You will want to get in on this if you’re a hardcore Ultimatum fan, trust us!
