Tesla's one of my faves. Tommy Skeoch will be missed he was by far the better guitarist.

Tommy is more flashy than Frankie (perhaps?) Yet Frankie is alot more versatile. Everyone likes different stuff for whatever reason. I think they shined better as a duo than individually.

At this point, I like Frank better. Frank's work with Tesla is awesome, his solo work is awesome; Tommy's solo album is pretty bad. And he's bitter.

But together they were awesome. The dualing solos in "Don't De-Rock Me" is one of the baddest solos ever recorded!

I just came across this thread way after it started but better late than never. I was at the Tesla show in Albuquerque too. I had just seen them here a few months earlier at one of the casinos and then they came through again on the Reel to Real tour. It was a really good show, Jeff had some trouble singing and was sucking down cough drops like crazy but Frank Hannon stepped up and covered for him very well. I had second row and my wife, daughter and a friend got front row on Frank's side of the stage. They did a lot of tunes from the reel to real cds and a few Tesla songs. A realy rockin' night. The guitar clinic was pretty cool the day before the show, it was Frank and Dave but they came out and talked with all of us and signed everything we wanted signed, very cool and friendly people. I ended up with 3 copies of disc 2 from the show and was able to get all 3 of them signed by the entire band. I put them all in the closet after burning a copy for the car. I probably could have sold them on E-bay but I like having them, besides my wife would have killed me if I had sold them. We all ended up with picks from the show too.

I saw the Frank Hannon band play in a club in Farmington NM a couple years ago and he sounded great at that show, he did all the singing and most of the lead work. His side project is a damn good band, I wish he would do more with that too. After the show he talked with folks for quite a while and seemed really down the earth and happy to be doing what he's doing. Great guy, Great Band.
